You'll definitely lose weight faster at 1200 calories. The weight you lose will be muscle weight, not fat. Go for 2000 calories, and absolutely eat some carbs and protein an hour or so before you work out, you need fuel for the work out and you don't want to be starving (or dizzy) after.

i'm waiting for a follow-up appointment to find out if i have this, but it's never caused any weight problems that i'm aware of. i originally went in for night sweats and just excessive sweating in general. i was much bigger up until last year, but i'm pretty sure i know the culprit there and have kicked it to the curb.

well i'm in an office chair so its got wheels and it spins and rocks and all that, but i'm on carpet so it's not too hard to keep stable. you wouldn't be able to do it if you had wheels on a tile floor though probably, unless you help onto your desk with your hands!

p.s. i count friday lunch time as a "cheat meal", i don't do cheat days, just one meal a week with a co-worker.

make it a treat at the end of a week of keeping a good diet, or even at the end of the day (but keep it under your calorie ceiling) tell yourself "if i do this, this and this, then i can have this"

awesome. thanks all. i am working out, although a lot of it is random cardio/band workouts at my desk (which i have no idea how to log here - i'll rip out jumping jacks or run in place while my egg beaters are in the microwave) and tennis/swimming at home (which hasn't been frequent enough to log)
