  • Great job! Keep it up! Consistent effort in this journey will improve every aspect of your life :) You can totally do this.
  • Seriously Bodybuilding.com has saved my life lol. I am currently doing Erin Stern's Elite 4-week trainer and it is amazing. Each day comes with a video so you can see how to do each exercise. Also, It is free which is great.
  • For the past 3 weeks I have been doing: Monday: Shoulders and Arms followed by abs Tuesday: Plyometrics and Legs (I do the plyometrics first and then lifting for legs) Wednesday: Cardio (30 minutes high intensity interval training) and then abs Thursday: Back Friday: Chest and Shoulders followed by abs Saturday: Cardio…
  • I love lifting :) Anyone can add me, I'm pretty active on here!
  • I look at my "before" pictures. And I try to say this to myself "what can I do right now that my future self will thank me for". Whether that's eating a healthy meal, drinking more water, or going to the gym I can usually think of something and I feel good knowing that what I did will make a positive impact on my future…
  • TAKE ALL THE PICTURES. I took progress pictures all the time especially whenever I felt like overeating or skipping a workout. I didn't obsess over the pictures or anything I just put them into a folder on my computer. There is something about seeing your body change over time in all different outfits, lighting, poses that…
  • Oh my goodness you look amazing! Go strength training! Congrats on your progress
  • I'm 5'7", 21 years old, and I think my current weight is just under 160 at the moment. The before pictures were taken around September of 2014 and the new pictures were taken this April. Sorry for the dirty mirror lol
  • Haha that's actually peanut butter not Nutella but now I want some Nutella lol!
  • omg i love it!!
  • yes it is!
  • Here is what I do currently: Day 1- Upper focus (dips, push ups, dumbell bench press, rows, etc) low intensity cardio after Day 2- Lower focus (squats, lunges, planks, side planks, etc) Day 3- Cardio only (HIIT) Day 4- Upper focus (push ups, dumbell shoulder press, pull ups (attempt), etc) low intensity cardio after Day 5-…
  • I honestly couldn't say how long it took me because I had a lot of ups and downs. I originally lost the weight in about 6 months? maybe? I lived in Costa Rica for 3 months that started the weight loss because I literally only ate rice and beans and veggies the whole time so when I got home I decided to try to keep the…
  • Wow thanks! I still feel a little self conscious about the layer of fat over my abs but that's why making progress pictures helps me because I can see how ridiculous it is to worry about a little pouch when I've come so far lol
  • Oooh that's a good idea!
  • Thanks! I sometimes freak out seeing that number because I feel like that's higher than where I "should" be but I have to keep reminding myself that muscle weighs more than fat so the scale isn't really an accurate measure.
  • Thanks, girl! :) Yes, I weight train. Lifting gives me the best feeling! I am definitely not as hardcore as some lifters out there but I try my hardest and I'm always working on improving. My gym at my school is really small so at first I was super intimidated because there were no girls in the weight area but I finally…
  • Thank you! I'm 5'7" my previous weight was around 186 and my weight now is around 158-160.
  • thanks, friends! I hope you all have a pair of your own lol
  • When i get hungry at night I'll brush my teeth so that eating would taste bad and then i sit at my computer and make progress pictures so I can see how much my body has changed so that I'm occupied without wanting to eat to get back to my "before" picture!
  • Yeah all I add to mine are cinnamon and vanilla extract and then ill layer them with some chunky peanut butter and oh my goodness it's so delicious...
  • I'm a vegetarian and I use them to get to my protein goals for the day. I also use them to nourish my muscles after I lift. I'll make a shake with almond milk, one scoop of protein powder, and a little bit of greek yogurt and it's fairly low cal for all the protein you're getting.
  • Good point lol I guess I shouldn't say it as if isn't the norm!
  • hahahah thank you and no of course not those are my slippers!
  • Never ever ever ever ever apologize for what your body looks like. The human body is an amazing and unique thing that does so much for us and no matter how "digusting" you think it looks it is an incredible gift. You look great and I just want to give you kudos on your loss, 100 pounds is so much! I agree with what others…
  • I totally agree with this. Plus, you can keep a little photo album on your phone of your meals so that you can be more accountable!
  • I struggle with pizza and Chinese food the most. Oh and french fries. Instead of fitting it into my calories I try to "healthify" the foods I'm craving. For example, if i'm dying for pizza I'll use a flax and oat bran tortilla and put some crushed tomatoes on it, add some garlic, oregano, and a little bit of pecorino…
