Also bumping!

I'm up to 325 days (i think) and hopefully it doesn't screw up. I have noticed there may be a glitch somewhere though. It's kind of hard to explain, but I think it just may be something with the site. I really hope it doesn't mess up before I hit a year mark

I totally agree! just have a good time and don't stress about it and it will be fine
-
Genna I didn't know you started that! I'm so proud of you! I'll text you a pic of my running shoe. They are asisc and a lot of runners I've talked to likes Asics. My advise is to make sure you shop around. There is a running store downtown Austin called Runtex. They will watch you run on a treadmill and find the shoe that…

Sorry, I don't have advise, I want to bump this to read the comments that you receive. Good luck with the marathon, you will be great!
-
I'm not a pro by any means but I would really plan on shelling out at least $100 for shoes. I used to be a Nike girl, but a few weeks ago I bought my first asics. They are Asics gel cumulus 12. Theses are honestly the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. I won't buy anything else now. When you said you soaked in the tub,…

I've actually read in several different articles that if you stretch before you run you actually increase your chance of injury because you are stretching cold muscles. I never stretch before i run, I just go! When I get done running, I stretch for a little while (not as long as I should) but i pay particular attention to…

Thank you so much I will do some more research for the state of Texas. My online class is through Penn Foster and I'm really enjoying. Thanks for you time and expertise in the area.

they are "tagging" the post for later so they can go back and use it as reference. At the top you see "my topics" so everything you have posted on will be under there. It's easier to find
-
I got 7/10 correct...not too shabby
-
Just letting you know, you aren't alone. I'm heading out there tonight. Running with a friend so just doing 2 miles, not the G28K program plan, but will pick back up Thurs with the 2nd week.
-
Due to my schedule, I have to do my runs in the evenings, after dinner.
-
Greag job! My life has been getting in the way, but hoping to do the whole thing next time, probably on monday or Tuesday. 8k is a whole lot less intimidating than the 10k. Great work!
-
did W1D2 of G28K 1.97 miles bringing the group total to 1010.46
-
I just now saw this thread. My total for the month so far is 16.32 making a group total of 986.24
-
Just checking in. No run for me today but I did get out there early this morning for a 3 mile walk of 52 minutes. W1D2 tomorrow! I love it and hopefully others will follow on this thread.
-
Personally, I HATE the treadmill and would rather run outside in the 100 degree temps and the 30 degree temps than run on the treadmill. Again, I also suggest you get outside and run. I have really grown to love running. I just started running in January, and have ran 3 5k's and planning on another one Oct 16th. The racing…

I don't know if this will help anyone, but I have found chewing gum while running helps me tons! I'm a fairly new runner (since January), and have found that it helps me with my breathing (not exactly sure how) and also keeps my throat moist since I'm a mouth breather
-
i recently did a 30 day no scale challenge also, and it was very tough for me. I lost 4 pounds during that time, but I'm one of those that likes to get on the scale every day. Congrats to you!
-
I had some roadblocks. Day 1 for me tomorrow!!
-
I am totally in! I've been trying to do a 10k, but haven't been that motivate, hopefully this will better and I won't be so overwhelmed. I never did the C25K but did a different program i found online. I have ran 3 5k's since then and my best time is 32:58, hoping to add distance and speed. I love this, and will also add…
