Not at all. I drink 1/2 of my smoothie first thing in the am and save the other half till about 10 am. I eat lunch at noon then another snack at 4 and dinner at 7. Today was supposed to be low carb, but we had a retirement party at work--I can't say no to cake! I'll switch to low carb tomorrow. You're welcome to check out…

Are you an art teacher?? So am I. Enjoy the compliments, you worked hard to get where you are, be proud--and congrats!

I LOVE my Asics. You will definitely have to order a half size larger though!

Lighten up Dude, where's your sense of humor??? You've got a lot of great answers here, might not be what you want to hear, but seems like most answers are dead-on correct. Up you calories to build muscle and lift heavy.

Well,, you are 20 years younger than the OP and we still don't know about any height differences. These can make a huge difference. If you are small and older you will have a much lower maintenance amount. It's a bummer, but that's just the way it is.
-
How tall are you?? I know that getting older lowers your calories. If you gave us your height and current weight, some of us number nerds could check it for you.

Anytime to quit is the perfect time. Do it now--today!

Some of us just don't lose in the boob area, you might be one of those. When I was in college I weighed 106 (5' 4.5") and still wore a 34DD. My bust has stayed pretty much the same over the past 30 years. If I were you, I would celebrate your fantastic figure! Now, go find a mirror, look at yourself and say " Damn I look…

My Mom had a terrible time with sleep walking. She was hypnotized for it several years ago. She hasn't had a problem since.

Best post EVER!!! LOL!

At 5'5" and 110lbs you are already underweight with a BMI of 18.3. You are at a significantly increased risk of miscarriage. Please reconsider your plan to maintain instead of gaining for your first and possibly second trimesters. I had a friend who lost a baby because she didn't eat enough--it was heartbreaking. You can…

Smoothie w 2/3 C plain greek yogurt, 1 scoop protein (whey) powder, 1/3 C milk and frozen berries or Peanut butter (PB2 powder if you want low fat). This has 48 g protein.

I think it's a great idea! In the group Fit and 50+ Summer Group we are doing weekly weigh ins, they really help keep me on track.

Try mixing 1/2 and 1/2 with vanilla powder. I mix 1/3 c milk, 2/3 c greek yogurt and the vanilla/strawberry mix 1 scoop total with a little ice and water to taste in the blender. Yum.

At 5'6" and 125 (and 123) lbs why in the world would you want to lose weight??? You are perfect right now!!! If you are not happy with your body, try exercise-weight lifting in particular, but you don't need to lose weight!

I think it's a matter of preference. Use either MFP + eat back calories OR TDEE - 250-500 calories/wk. Just don't try to mix the two, IMO. I prefer the TDEE method just because I don't have to figure anything else. Also, I think that MFP overestimates calories burned in many instances. I would try eating 1600 without…
-
No. Do not eat back exercise calories when using TDEE, exercise is already figured in. Stick to 1500-1750 and continue to work out, but don't eat back calories.
-
Wait till you get to your goal weight, then you can also get rid of any excess skin. If you do it now then lose a substantial amount of weight your results won't be as good.
-
Wrong. BMR is the amount you burn without doing anything. Your TDEE is your maintenance level and takes into account your activity level. To lose you should aim for below your TDEE but above your BMR. To lose a pound a week, figure your TDEE and subtract 500 calories.

There's a great, very active group NROL4W (New Rules of Lifting for Women), you should check it out.

^This. If she really wanted help, she'd open her diary and quit with the excuses. Being honest and not sugar-coating things isn't being harsh or rude IMO.

In regards to dismissing the merits of taking your body type into account to reach weight loss goals, here are a few things that I found interesting: http://www.naturallyintense.net/blog/weight-loss/why-people-store-fat-in-different-parts-of-the-body/ "As reported by Time magazine, researchers found that body shape is the…

^^^This. It's baffling that you come here and ask for help but don't provide the information that is needed to give you any help (by opening your diary). You say you have a fantastic nutritionist, yet you are not losing weight. Sounds to me like your nutritionist isn't so great. If you really want help from this forum (and…
