Why? "Jesus as a Spanish name is perfectly legitimate and has been used in many Latin cultures for ages." From Yahoo And who doesn't like biscuits?
-
So that's how you get to change your name. They won't let me change mine.

Thanks. Not a good day yesterday. Was at 600 calories until I went to the Ducks vs Bruins in Anaheim kind of blew it at California Pizza Kitchen. I haven't added the calories up yet. Cross Fit is cardio until you drop, maybe harder.

Thanks, I only got 4 lbs to go after the first week. I knocked off 10 lbs August to Sept in 2012 with 1500 cals and CF, but kind of lost my way on the calories after. I just have get tough on the weekends and stick to the calorie plan. I am cranking in down to 1200 by not eating BF (Intermittent fasting and scheduled…

If it is the sciatic there are stretches you can do as well, check you tube for them. I had one pinched and I thought it was a tore muscle or a sprain. It took about week to go away after doing the stretches. I had it about a month prior.

I did have a discussion with our main trainer on Bacon Double Chocolate Cake she highly recommended it along with bacon spicy tater tots at a local restaurant ... does this count for Paleo?

The title was from HP. Not mine. Study only did 2 workouts which is bogus. I posted another study which you saw that has problems also. Personally, my injuries from crossfit have been: Shin Splints basically from my first full workout from a mile sandwich - 1 mile run followed by a workout and then another mile run - My…

The thread is: TOPIC: The Ohio University Study on CrossFit

Good point and I am sorry you feel that way about CF. Look at any other thread with CF in it, you may feel the same about CF base on the discussions there. It's the same theme. But we are in a forum, where things are discussed, isn't this the purpose of a forum? I could have blindly went on my merry way and thought this…
-
Sorry. Agree.
-
Seriously, not really here to defend CF, been here off and on for years. Just started CF in June. I never realize the massive negativity on CF until I actually started reading the forum posts. I was like what WTF. Again this report has negative results against CF as well as good. If it was pro CF then negativity would be…
-
What case? Just put it out there. The experts on the forum have spoken. The study is crap. You assume too much.
-
Thanks for your pity I appreciate it and you have it all wrong. Again info. There is negative facts on crossfit in the study. It's just a study get over it. Crossfit is bad for you. It cost too much. People who do it are losers and can't work out on their own. Got the message. Move on to beating your kids if you have any.
-
It's information if you don't like it don't read it. You know all this stuff already so move on. I posted it because I see negativity on CF. So I put it up for others. Not you. Go post I lift weights all day because you have time. I won't read it. It's 2 days every day would mean every day.

Read the study. The starting fitness levels are recorded.
-
No related, but what is your workout regimen?
-
This was stated in the discussion: "While improvements in aerobic fitness are similar to those previously found in HIIT programs, the current HIPT program has demonstrated an increase of maximal oxygen consumption, even in subjects with well-above average VO2max. This increase in VO2max has not previously been documented…
-
I believe the comparison is HIIT vs HIPT. The second link in the original post discusses this. It concluded that HIPT takes it to a higher level (fat burn and performance) than HIIT based on previous HIIT studies but is higher risk for injury. You have to look at other similar type studies on other exercise regimens to…

Did you read the the second link? First CrossFit Study: It Works Wonders, If You Can Survive http://www.realclearscience.com/blog/2013/08/finally-a-scientific-study-on-crossfit.html "Previous research has shown high intensity interval training to significantly improve cardiovascular fitness, blood pressure, and body fat…

See the edit of the original post. I added the subjects tested. 11 dropped out due to injury or reuse. Paleo diet supposively

I posted the participants in the OP for your critique. Subjects Participants of all levels of aerobic fitness and body composition were recruited from and trained at a Crossfit affiliate (Fit Club, Columbus, OH). Out of the original 54 participants, a total of 43 (23 males, 20 females) fully completed the training program…

This study is bogus due to the numbers of people and the statistic sample of 2 workouts Ohio State completed study in August 2013 I posted the info here. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1124254-the-ohio-university-study-on-crossfit 43 participants over 10 weeks. 54 started the study, 11 dropped out due to injury or…

"8-10-12-20 hours is endurance training..." Holy ****e what are you training for? I do CF for Ice Hockey and it works. 60 mins of 2 min or less shifts at full speed.
-
I posted it there first before I bumped it here and then edited my post there to this link to this thread. I did not recognize the sample was for 2 workouts.

The real source is American Council on Fitness and is not done to scientific standards. It's quick put together to counter negative press on crossfit. Yes Huffington publishes crap.
