You look incredible - young, fit, and fab! Great job!

She also said she is still growing - not aware of any 22 year olds (or any female past menarche) who grow at a rate of 1/4" every few weeks.

First - you are definitely not alone! I can understand where you are coming from - I worked part-time while my husband worked full-time with 3 children under 5, and then went full-time when they were still under 8. Life was/is crazy busy (they are 16,13, an 11 now) - I get up at 5 to get myself ready before they wake up…

Personally I usually stick with wine, but a friend of mine does rum and (diet) coke to keep the calories in check.

Peanut butter. (Unless you have a nut allergy, then please - don't).

Congrats - great work!

You look great! And happy! I love it !

^^ Could you further explain please (like "all" and "tamper")? I mean, are you talking "GMO wheat" and "soy fed animals" or "even the "heirloom organic seeds you plant are messed up?" Just curious...

Great "non scale victory"! I love your posts - they make me smile as well as motivate me :)

I try to focus on eating "clean" according to your definition but by no means am totally there (you can see the oreo I ate with lunch in my diary which my husband brought into the house :/ Anyway, calories still count - I can do a great job maintaining on a "healthy clean diet" but no so much on losing. Portions (calories)…

I agree - I would pick a number and try to stick to it as close possible for a week and see what happens. You may have to play around a bit to find the number that works for you. I think that your fats, etc, look fine (glad to see you do have some since not in original post :)

I think seeing your diary would be helpful - are you sure that is actually 1500-1700 calories? I'm not seeing that unless you are adding oils, more egg whites, skim milk than realized. I'm actually wondering if it's not too low? (not trying to open the whole eat more/lose weight debate, but just what I'm wondering...)

Your hard work definitely paid off - you look fantastic!

Bumping this. I was just thinking of ordering Insanity but I really think this may be a better choice for now, especially due to the time factor. Good luck - love hearing about everyone's progress.

You look amazing - fantastic job! I love the way you took things bit by bit and made small, lasting changes that really add up. Well done!

44 here and not feeling as bad about the approaching 45 - feel free to add me!
-
2 more miles last night - 44 to go! (I had better double that tonight again!)
-
What a great quote! And good luck with your goals!

I really should not have opened this thread when I'm hitting a mid-afternoon slump. Somehow my pre-planned yogurt may not cut it....

I've only been doing this a week and so far prefer to eat something small late morning (like an egg), although I have coffee upon waking. A light, late lunch and a "regular dinner" works so far for me. I also drink a lot during fast days - water and iced berry green tea. I know that some prefer to hold off and eat all of…

Barbara's Shredded Oats or bite size shredded wheat with banana or blueberries. But I'm always hungry within 2 hours of eating cereal (other than old fashioned oatmeal or steel cut oats), so I rarely do so these days.

Well done - you look great! Terrific post - thank you for sharing.

4 miles yesterday (Day 1 for me) - 46 to go :)

Sorry -just found this which addresses both skipping breakfast and fasting: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1072656-10-unbelievable-diet-rules-backed-by-science

If skipping breakfast causes you to overeat later in the day, then don't do it. If it fits well with the way you like to use your calories, then skip it. I agree with those who have stated that what applies to children does not necessarily apply to adults. I'm not sure if skipping breakfast alone would qualify as…

Hi everyone - just found this challenge and would like to join. I need a good "kick" in the pants to move more, and this should do it. Now - I just need to do some quick math to figure out how many miles per days left, etc... :) Starting tonight - I'll post on progress. I'm enjoying reading how much you all are doing!

And the lovely pictures on your American food link are part of the reason we are no.2 on the most obese nation list, I believe :) (And why I save the "standard American breakfast" for Sundays only!)
-
That's fantastic - keep up the great work!

I just started this last week, so I can't post any results, but I don't believe this is a "quick weight loss" strategy at all. I love the idea of not having to count and restrict every day, just 2 days a week. The 500-600 cal days don't seem awful with careful planning and choosing, although I wouldn't want to do them back…

Same thing happens when I try to follow a 3 meal/2 snack plan - I eat when I'm not necessarily truly hungry and don't enjoy it as much. (And I would really like to enjoy my food while trying to lose :)
