  • Some of the protein bars out there are not to bad (others really taste like cardboard). I have found a few that have a good amount of protein with lower carbs and not to much sugar. Taste is important to me -- so I have tried lots. They are portable-quick and easy.

  • OMG. Thank you for your note. Emotional wreck that I am---your words brought tears to my eyes. You are right. I have always encouraged my daughter to be a strong and independent woman. I just need to acknowledge that I am also strong and independent. Thanx.
  • Hang in there. I have been stuggling with the same issues you are. I work only nights 12hr shifts. 4-5hours sleep per 24 hours during worktime is max I get ..... My weight loss has been slow to start but I believe that if we stick with calorie counting--exercise and sleep when we are able then eventually it has to balance…
  • I added a middle of the night 3-4am slot to my diary. I work night shifts and this seems to help me keep on track. I use the 24hour clock--so i record my intake for each 24 time frame.

  • Have a pj day--that is always good for restart. I take one every so often-- A day where I don't interact with the world or its people in any meaningful way. I watch junk TV, I don't exercise and I eat one of my favorite foods.(Something I don't make--just order in) I pamper myself for the day-avoiding all serious thought.…

  • I knew I was not the only chip addict out here but it helps:flowerforyou: to actually have others acknowledge it. It also helps to have others give a nod to the "I can't have one" gene. Thank you and knowing that others are doing it does help.
  • YES. I did the 12hr D/N rotation for years. Not an easy one for sure. That messed up my metabolism...I think. Now I work only night shifts. I work 4 / 12hour nights followed by 4/5 days off depending where I am in my rotation. Now my metabolism has no idea what do do with itself and no more do I.
  • Thank you. Baby steps it is.
  • Not obsessive! I want to be able to reach the point that I can say I have logged on for 140+ days. It will mean that I have followed thru and that I am still being accountable to myself. Hopefully it will also mean that I have made some changes in my life for the positive. I think its great that you have been so…
