Ahhh, a fellow iced tea lover! I will choose and iced tea over any other liquid any day of the week :) As for fluid/water intake, I personally drink 6-8 8 oz glasses of water a day and then tea before, during and after that. I carry water or tea with me wherever I go. I say, drink what you want as long as there are no…

I would like to say I avoid the scale but I don't. I step on the scale when I see it just out of curiosity for the most part. I do set aside a day that I weigh myself and then record it.

I say go ahead and eat in the evenings. My schedule is hectic with work, working out, kids and their schedules and such. We eat when we get home and sometimes that isn't until after 8:00. We just don't eat heavy meals at dinnertime. Our biggest meals are breakfast and lunch so that helps.

A couple of guesses here. Water retention would be one. I live in high altitude and the air is really dry. Your body tends to hold more water. It may be hanging on to the water to help your muscles and also the altitude. My second guess is that you didn't eat enough to keep your body fueled while you did this vigorous…

It is hard when others try to get you to eat with them. I just look at them and say' "No thanks. I really don't want any right now." Kind of gets me off the hook :) After awhile all of the foods that used to be yummy to you a.k.a. junk food, won't look so appetizing. I saw a cinnamon roll today and before my lifestyle…

Personally, I only eat my burn calories if I am really hungry and need a little something to tide me over. Otherwise I just leave them alone.

Have you lost inches on your body? This may be happening to you. You may be losing inches and gaining lean muscle. I have found that sometimes I have to have a cheat day. It almost is like jumpstarting my weight loss again. I don't count calories and eat what I was within reason. Make sure you are drinking enough water.…

Check with your doctor first and have him/her tell you what a good healthy weight would be for your body frame. You want to make sure you feel good and are not setting yourself up for other issues in the future by being too large or too small. There are a ton of calculators online that can give you an idea of where you…

I make a protein smoothie every morning. I put frozen fruit, almond milk, protein powder and also throw in my vitamins into my Ninja blender and have that for breakfast. I put in a little less almond milk sometimes and make it more like an ice cream. It makes taking the protein powder and vitamins a little easier :)

I try to get all of my water in. Some days are better than others. I do have at least one LARGE glass of iced tea a day. I am a self proclaimed tea-a-holic. I love iced tea and will chose it over anything. I am trying to get more water into my diet though.

My best advise for the nighttime cravings is to drink water. If you are not a big water fan then put a little lemon or cucumber in the water. As for the not being able to afford fresh fruit and veggies, well, they are actually more bang for your buck than processed foods. You can even make a box of mac-n-cheese go farther…

Can I ask why you are considering something like Hydroxycut? Just curious. I personally think that if you are wanting to lose weight, then slow and steady would be a good thing. You didn't put all the weight on in one day so it will take more than a day to lose it. If you want a jumpstart on weight loss then you could try…

On a personal level, I have found that running has helped my legs look longer and more slender. The fat is starting to melt off and the lean muscle is showing through. I actually like my legs now :) Even my thighs are much more trim. I'm sure there are other exercises you can do. Perhaps the eliptical? I have heard it is…

Here is my personal story. I agree with the calories in and calories out. Stick to your calorie goal and you should lose weight. When I have done this I had many more plateaus than when I worked out than when I didn't . It took a lot longer to drop the weight. Personally, I have found that once I started working out I…

I personally am hungry in the morning. I make a frozen fruit and protein shake and that holds me until around 10. I have found that eating smaller meals more often helps me and breakfast is just one of those. I say eat when you are hungry but if you don't see any weight loss them try a low cal breakfast or breakfast shake.…

For me it depends on the day. Some days I just need the calories. I eat my calories (1500) and sometimes will eat back about half of the exercise calories. Tonight will be one of those nights as Wednesdays I run 3.5 miles then do 2 hours of martial arts. I need the carbs :) I say that you need to just make sure that you…

Hello from a fellow teacher and parent! I am looking at the same issue you are. I have been teaching summer school, although it does get out 2-3 hours earlier than normal school. I also have kids in multiple sports as well as myself. I have 2 different martial arts and I run. We don't get home until 7:30 or 8 each night. I…

I personally use C25K and have had great results with running using this program. I love the interval training. You get to run a bit, walk a bit. Then you increase the running time and lower the walking time. I found that it worked well for me. I would suggest trying it and seeing how you like it. There are plenty of free…

Thanks all. I do normally eat the calories I am given for the day. On that day that I was in the negative, I was so busy with working out and then normal daily stuff. Eating just wasn't on the schedule and I wasn't really hungry. It was only one day and have made it right since. I am hoping that my body has just stored…
