I use a camelback becasue most of my rides are long! I also ride solo alot in very rough terrain. In my bag: multitool patchkit and boot 2 tire levers CO2 and adaptor handpump chainbreaker chainlink 2 tubes cell phone for music car keys honey stinger gummies or GU lighweight jacket On me: headphones road ID bracelet…

I had the same problem. I started using the Jergens (or an off brand) gradual tanning lotions and haven't had any problems with streaking or the gross spots on my elbows and kneed.

Also, I consider my normal activities exercise as well. Not only do I lift at the gym but I mountain bike, rock climb, swim, kayak, hike, work in the yard, ski, etc. My entire life is considered exercising! I am with JoRocka I would definitely be a professional athlete if I could! But more like a professional adventurer or…

Yes, yes, and YES!!! I love working out! I don't go to the gym because I have to. I go to the gym because I love exercising! I think it has to do with being a dancer my whole life. I have always been very aware of my body and what I am capable of doing to it thru hard work and exercise! With that being said, I hate cardio.…

The Feedzone Cookbook is my favorite cookbook! I already cook dishes similiar to what these guys do so I didn't have to try to hard when I follow their recipes!

I hate eating "real" food when I ride. I like something fruity and chewy.
-
I use HEED in my water if I am biking for less than 2 hours and PERPETUEM if I am biking for more than 2 hrs. I take Endurolytes and Sportlegs if it is hot and going to be a long day. I eat Honey Stinger Energy Chews just because they taste good and I like to chew on something. I also carry Hammer Gel in a flask just in…

The fact that you are noticing the soreness and wondering if it is normal or not means you are aware of your body and will probably avoid injuries in the future. I think you are doing everything you should.....getting others to check your form and staying tuned in to what your body feels. Like I said, my back is sore…
-
If it is sore for a couple days like your other muscles you work out, then it might just be a normal sore muscle. But if your back hurts longer than your other muscles are hurting.....for days or weeks then you might be doing something wrong. I think some people might not know the difference between normal sore and injured…

Sometimes, no matter how good my form is, my back will hurt. If I try to increase my weight too quickly, do some other back exercises, etc...my back will hurt while I am doing deadlifts. I deload and check my form and make sure everything is good....but the back is still sore sometimes.

Sometimes I wear my socks for warmth!! It is cold up here in the tundra in the morning but by the afternoon I am hot! SO I hate wearing pants/tights.
-
I wore longer ones for awhile. But I actually prefer shorter ones. I don't like showing my legs off....but they are more comfortable. The longer ones always rolled and felt weird.
-
I do have similar socks......for deads. But I did wear knee high socks that said BACON for the Dakota Five-O becuase it has a secret bacon and PBR aid station. I don't wear baggies just because I get too hot!
-
I have that outfit!!!! ETA: But I only wear it when I am training. When I race I wear my normal kit.
-
I thought the same thing, I was scrolling thru the posts to see if anyone else did too!!

You need to hire a Carmichael coach!! http://trainright.com/ Or buy the Time Crunched Cyclist book. And if you have alot of money to spare purchase a power meter!
-
I wouldn't worry about ratios or increments either. Just keep increasing the weight until it is difficult to finish the last set. If you can finish all the reps in your last set, try to go up in weight. As a beginner, you can probably lift more than you think. You just need to get your body and joints used to strength…

I have never bought into the "don't wash your hair every day" thing. I shampoo and condition every day and I have very healthy, thick straight, long hair. It is neither oily or dry. Every stylist I go to says I am lucky to have my hair. I have washed my hair everyday my entire life!! If I don't wash my hair I feel so…

According to Mark Rippetoe: "The back squat is literally the only exercise in the entire repertoire of weighted human movement that allows the direct training of the complex movement pattern known as hip drive......and that is one of the things that makes the squat the best exercise you can do with barbells and, by…

Hey! My bathing suit actually goes that high!

^This! And I was diving, so I definitely need a one piece!

I have an armband that I wear around my calf. I have Bluetooth headphones, so I don't have a cord that gets wrapped up in things. I hate wearing the armband around my arms because my biceps get VERY swollen during my workouts. I spend way too much time loosening the band. I found wearing it right below my knee and above my…

Judging by the lack of responses, I am going to assume that no one else competes in RAW Power-lifting competitions.

That is a lot of weight. I only just recently broke thru my plateau and started lifting any heavier than 150lbs!

I guess I see the sexism part because how many threads do you see asking how women feel if their husband is making more money. ETA: And for the record, I would feel bad if he made more money than me. Only because I have an M.S. and tons of student loans.....and he has neither!
-
Totally have done the roll of shame. Some guys came running to help me and I just laughed. I got it! Ain't gonna kill me to roll this weight off!
-
I squat 225lbs. That is my working weight....not my 1RM. And I don't think my thighs are huge, a little fat for my liking, but they fit in a size 4. I am 5'7" and 142lbs if that helps. ETA: These are barbell squats and I don't 1/2 rep it, I go to below parallel.

I guess the more PC way to state it is, I think it is stupid to HAVE to ask that question in the first place.
-
HAHA! Way to pick out the important parts!
-
I think this is a stupid question to ask in the first place. What difference does it make which spouse is making more money? I have a vagina and my husband has a penis. Why does that even come into play about who is making more money!?!?! Seriously this pisses me off! It is 2014 people, this kind of sexism is so outdated!
