  • Thanks for that, I do add oil and lots of cheese, but I'm on a pretty tight budget atm, perhaps I'll have to loosen the reins a bit for some extra good high fat snacks. I just have issues working in the time to track that many calories! lol
  • I think I'm just going to allow myself to eat when hungry for now, and just make sure that I jump right back on the tracking as soon as the season is up. Right now I cannot eat the calories that I'm burning, unless I fill up with junk which I don't want to do daily. I'm trying to eat plenty of protein, some veggies, and…
  • Just an average based on data that I've collected(personal data from my body media) If I continue loading I'll burn on average 3200 calories a day (assuming one day off at 1900). That's a lot of food to track... lol- also rather difficult to go from eating that much down to 2000... hence the weight gain when I wasn't…
  • That's not bad... and you should be pretty full from all that fiber! Have you been restricting your sugar? Are you tracking your micronutrients? Are you still eating at a deficit at your goal weight?
  • Good advice ^^
  • $2 is a heck of a lot more in calories than that if you buy beans or rice...
  • I started to read the responses, but holy F people... Okay.. Without a link to the pictures you are referring to it's hard to really answer, but for a truly starving person it is not uncommon to have a large bloated stomach, but generally the arms and legs are very thin. I don't think that would be overweight.. more like…
  • I agree... I quit the gym because I just don't enjoy it... I like to dance in my living room with my daughter or clowning with my boo or just by myself jamming out. I love going to the club and having a good time, but bad drinking habits have stopped me from doing that for a bit(and I quit smoking and clubbing was how I…
  • I'm currently the parent of a six year old only child.. Plus- No one to blame things on unless we have company. It keeps her accountable for her messes etc. No arguing with siblings. Does not have to share on a daily basis. She has her space and her things. Neg- No arguing with siblings.. She wants to be around other…
  • The smile is important here! You can do it. Eating their snacks does not affect your job worthiness. And as long as you're nice about the refusal, they likely won't mind.
  • There is nothing that I eat every day.... Some days I don't even drink water...(I know I'm bad...working on the water thing though) Some things that I'm trying to eat more of that fit with vegetarian- Beans. I'm trying to have a serving(cup) of beans almost every day of the week. I add different things to it…
  • Here's the thing... a wide rib cage looks a lot better with muscles peeking out between them.. Removing fat is only half of the equation now it's time to find your maintenance and build the body you want ;)
  • All of this^^ minus the accurately tracking strength training with a hrm..
  • I was expecting something more like this in the OP lol
  • this and diet mountain dew are my mixers of choice, but for coffee I must have the sugar!
  • Sugar is in quite a few things that I like...including my coffee, ice cream, cake, cheese cake, but also bananas, apples, plums, peaches(mmm), cherries, etc... If you want you're coffee with sugar, drink it. Just track it. Measure what you add. You can even make it a "my food" if you have it the same way every time.
  • This... sexypants is worth the read and from what I can see in your diary, you are not tracking! Some people do not need to eat less/ move more.. Some people need to regulate their eating so that they are eating enough on a regular basis. Track your food for a while, at least long enough for you to figure out how you…
  • Sugar is a sub category of carbs and really doesn't matter as there is no difference in tracking fruit sugar and refined sugar. fiber and/or calcium are far better to track in my opinion ;)(or iron if you have trouble hitting that) edit-unless, of course, a medical condition says otherwise...
  • If anyone's worried about tracking the balance and doesn't have the app I use to use this https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B2MlEgY5q9lgS3Z0S3NWLVR0Y2c It was originally posted by Pu(who I don't think is active anymore), but it was really helpful for a time. you have to download it to save your info. It's an excel…
  • I'm sorry, but I don't understand the question enough for an exact answer... If you have the app under reports it has not only a daily net, but also the weekly average. I don't think it matters if you're using TDEE or MFP style. It also shows you the amount of calories that you have left for the week. (I use a calorie…
  • I vote for weekly deficit. I generally go slightly over maintenance 1 day a week and often have days that I don't feel like eating much, but it all balances out now that I'm watching it! :) I've also read that while it does not affect your weight loss, having high and low days can help maintain your lean tissue better than…
  • I didn't do any massive "change" I just started tracking.. That was my change.
  • good stuff up there... just a side note- I find that the less restrictive I am the better I do.. I eat the foods that I will be eating after I am done losing weight. I eat my ice cream.. I eat cake at parties... I drink soda(occasionally), I add sugar to my coffee(sometimes), etc, etc, etc. I eat it if I want it.. I may…
  • quoting this because in my mind it does a good job of illustrating that water is a part of the body, not something that's just poured in on top ;) 200lb man at 25% fat has 50 pounds of fat. You cannot remove the water from the equation because it is a part of the body. The two ratios do not interact in that way. If you…
  • I've lost just over one inch in 70 days. Lots of factors go into that though- body shape, starting waist, amount of weight you have to lose, etc. I don't think there's a formula to even estimate that one ;)
  • False, I own two vehicles and making payments on a third ;) TNP likes chocolate more than they'd like to admit...
  • Lots of info in the first link- best to read when you have enough time to really go through the links... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants for general information and http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator for BMR(which you should not be eating…
  • Are you taking measurements? inches are a lot more accurate than clothes :) I've lost about 14lb and I'm still in the same size, but I've lost over an inch in my waist and hips(each)
  • Hi, first- congratulations on your loss! I am only at 13 pounds this round which is pretty good for me, the most I've lost when tracking was 15lbs at one time(which at the time was to goal for me) Just something to consider- do you feel that you are depriving yourself of foods that you are not willing to not eat for the…
