  • I'm in for 100 miles. =)
  • ^^ this with their liquid (not really, definitely processed) cheese sauce. to die for...
  • Dangit!!! Is THAT why I'm not losing weight?? :noway:
  • I tried... but it ended up turning into Gone in 60 Seconds... =(
  • Some people aren't teachable I guess.... :blushing: I TRIED!!
  • 40 Year Old Virgin... If I had only known....
  • Same here. I have noticed it gets uh... a tad sweaty after I spend some time at the gym. Although I have had issues with ME seeing it while wearing lower cut shirts. I don't ever lose it and nor does it ever go into the wash since its not on my pants or in my pocket. I don't know if it can accurately measure your TDEE…
  • Add me too! http://www.fitbit.com/user/23LYBW
  • I would think that the unhealthy frozen convenience foods might be more expensive in the long run, including expensive to your overall health, if that make sense. If you plan a menu, you should be able to get by just fine with $100/two weeks if its just two of you. I plan a menu at my house, and for me and two growing…
  • My mom, who has ALWAYS been overweight and really knows NOTHING about calories or eating healthy told me the other day... "You shouldn't start lifting weights. Muscles weigh more than fat anyway and you'll NEVER lose weight by gaining muscle weight." HUH?? Then she said, "Plus (Insert My Boyfriend's name) won't like it if…
  • Well, at least the school system taught this eager but I'm sure very nice young lady the art of using a period to end her sentence. Aside from that, just like I tell my son... the good people never get the people they want to date in high school. Sad, but true. He doesn't like you (enough) or he would have told you…
  • Add me too! Well, not the OP... cause we are already Fitbit buddies =) I think we need to exchange email addresses...
  • My sons have always gotten pudgy around the middle (I always called it their "root beer belly") and then they grew taller and stretched out. Due to our divorce and lack of healthy choices, my youngest son put on some serious weight between my crutch of convenience foods for time strapped meals and the constant pizza buffet…
  • Thanks to Nic for responding to this earlier!! It made me think about it... I want to be 235 by the end of May. I'm 247.8 today. Im most certainly ready to see awesome results, rather than 1-2lb losses per month. More water. More movement. Less "treats" More consistency.
  • Id try following the food pyramid or Bodyforlife.com , minus their shakes. Its basically 6 small meals a day. Good luck!
  • I think its funny to think I climbed the height of the worlds tallest dinosaur...or today, I climbed the height of the Leaning Tower of Pisa in stairs... I don't think it makes a calorie difference, like the other replies. However! If anyone would like to be fitbit pals, send me a msg... I need more fitbit buddies for…
  • I think she's cray cray too. I think part of this is that you've described yourself as "wildly impatient." Unfortunately, Dr. Cray Cray's job is to suggest/prescribe drastic weight loss tactics so that you'll be successful. I think we are all impatient... I know I am. But I'd get nutzo on 1100 cals. I'm not even doing so…
  • In 2007 I lost 40 lbs and then had MASSIVE gall bladder problems. It got infected and had to have it removed. My biggest gall stone was the size of a cotton ball =( Good luck!
  • I do have a boyfriend, but when I didn't, I got hit on occasionally. Hearing things like "ooh you've got a fine *kitten* girl..." Uh... not what I want to hear, especially when I KNOW I"m overweight. But one time, I was out with about 10 friends for a birthday, and we were all pretty toasty...and this guy appears awkwardly…
  • People are so rude sometimes... Best: "We should eat better like Erica does so we can lose weight too..." Coworker, who is now on MFP because of me =) (I had NO IDEA anyone had noticed what I was doing or that I had made progress at that point!) Best #2: "I can tell you're doing some good work there...keep it up!" My HR…
  • I feel like I start over every week almost. My problem is that I haven't been committed enough to stick to the plan of less calories in and more calories out. I come up with GREAT excuses too, which is silly cause no one is telling me I have to lose weight. lol I have a great MFP buddy on here that helps keep me in check,…
  • I am also in a long distance relationship and we see each other once a month too. We are BOTH trying to lose weight, so the friendly competition is quite motivating. Its refreshing to hear that the boyfriend is encouraging and supportive. I have been in a relationship where my attempt to get healthier and lose weight was…
  • I'm curious how supportive your boyfriend was during this part of your journey...and how he's responding to the newer you! You look amazing, by the way. Its awesome what a difference 35 lbs lost makes! You're really pretty and look a whole lot more confident in your more current picture =) I'm not quite as tall as you are…
  • I agree here. I think the one thing that I have changed this time around is that I refuse to beat myself up over small, insignificant slip ups. The epic fail that got me to what I weigh now isn't ONE day of bad eating... it was YEARS of bad eating. I won't fail this time cause I "failed' and had pizza with my kids. I'll…
  • Woohoo!! I'm ready!! I'm making my chart RIGHT now!!
  • Miles...got it! I did 4.07 mi so far today (elliptical at the gym helped!!) I do drink at least 80 oz water daily, but I'm shooting for 96oz. Helps keep me full and I don't notice the hunger pains quite as bad due to the decreased calories. I'm adding the 50 squats and 85 situps/planks/crunches I didn't finish from last…
  • I feel VERY accomplished this week, despite not finishing last weeks challenge...but I am adding it to my activity this week... 11/27--261.4 12/4--259.4 WHOO HOO!
  • Finished my cardio today with an extra 7 mins...so I did 107 mins this week, 50 squats left. 85 situps/crunches/planks left. (I added crunches and planks cause situps hurt my tookus for some reason.) Monday is gonna be a looooonnnngggg day to finish up this challenge, but I look forward to it!!
  • Good to know!! I am always UNDER my calories and fat and carbs but my proteins are in the 100s daily. WHEW!! I'm glad to see that its normal and I'll still lose weight. Thanks for the post!
  • Yes sir... this is great advice. I tried out W1D1 of C25k but I got a really bad leg/foot cramp. I think I was dehydrated AND scared to run to begin with. Thanks for sharing your experience....I 'll be trying out W1D1 again tomorrow =)
