I totally agree about getting makeup removing wipes or just hitting it hard with the makeup on. If you bust out a great workout, get all sweaty, mess up your makeup like you don't even care (and aren't wearing a pushup bra) any doubters will figure it out on their own. I've worked out with makeup on and I'm sure I looked…

I think there may not be a major advantage for weightloss but I do think that if done correctly, there are other health advantages.

Please eat above your BMR and then you will be healthier and be able to stick to this much longer. Eat the snickers and find some healthy foods tomorrow. Do some research and set yourself up for success. You don't have to cut out your favorite snacks, just get lots of nutrient rich foods so you won't be so hungry for…

This! Putting on my workout clothes makes a huge difference for me! That and if I prelog my workout here or even just on the calendar I feel like I HAVE to get it done. I can edit the pace or whatever later if I have to. Go get 'em, Tiger!

Beans, quinoa, nuts, almond milk and cheese are my favorites. I hope to transition my family into a mostly vegan diet with eating cheese and fish on occasion but no other animal products.

Delaware, Maryland, Vermont? lol, if that's the case I am nowhere even close. Oregon here. :)

I appreciate your advice on water. I hate when people pretty much treat it like a one size fits all kind of thing. I know for me, I drink a ton of water because I have a medication I have to take that causes dry mouth and I take a water bottle on even short runs. I guess hardly anything in running or even health and…

I hate the treadmill with a passion (I probably need to get over that) but I have only had three or four long run days that I couldn't get outside and I did laps around the basketball court at the gym by me instead of hitting the treadmill. My husband had the kids there and they were playing in the middle so it was kind of…

Good job for being accountable.

Pretty much every day. One of my go to breakfasts is oatmeal cooked with almond milk, cocoa powder, brown sugar and I add in a tbs of powdered peanut butter and one of my favorite snacks is creamy peanut butter thinly smeared on graham cracker with a small drizzle of dark chocolate syrup...mmm

Fantastic! Thank you for sharing your story!

I have had maybe three or four colds since I started running a couple years back. I don't run if I feel like I have a fever but otherwise I just do my regular thing. I find that I can breath better by the time I'm done. I've had pneumonia twice when I was younger so I am guessing that it has nothing to do with me just not…

I remember reading about this like 10 years ago or something. Let this be your role model even if not to the same extreme. You have more control of your health in the long run than you are giving yourself credit for. Work for it and you'll be fine. It really comes down to priorities (as long as there aren't other…

I might just for fun but I'd put no more thought into it than a horoscope (which I don't take the least bit seriously).

This! Go outside and walk. Heck, I walk in figure 8's around my house on yucky days. Sometimes my kids do it with me and other times I wait until they are asleep. Easy peasy!

If you recognize the progress you are making, you raise your hopes and expectations and then if it doesn't get any farther it will be so much more disappointing. It's easier to deny any progress and not have to feel like you could do it but let your self fail than it is feel like you just can't do it. When I say "you" I…

Another thing to take into account is there are two "types" of body fat, as I understand it. There is the firm fat and the more jiggly less attractive fat. The firm fat tends to be more between orgins and also have less blood flow through it. The jiggly fat is more under your skin and has more blood flow. So even though it…

Keep the focus on you and don't compare yourself to anybody else. Start adding good habits one thing at a time. Drinking more water or going for a walk several days a week are great places to start.

Gluten doesn't generally cause a problem for most low thyroid types UNLESS you have Hashimoto's but you could have celiac as well as low thyroid too. There are foods you shoudn't eat raw like broccoli and Brussels sprouts. Soy can have negative affect on thyroid as can almonds if eaten in excess. Fish (because of the…

Hypo, mama of three here. I am also on two meds. Other than weight issues, are you showing ant other low thyroid symptoms (cold a lot, tired, heavy feeling limbs, brain fog, tongue tied, dry skin, brittle hair and nails)? If so talk to your doctor about a T3 med. I was finally able to lose weight after I got put on one,…

Congrats and thanks for the smiles! I will still look at your paleo in horror only because I like chocolate.

Me too, I took it inside for several inches of unplowed snow and also for roads covered in branches, limbs and other stuff during a huge wind storm.

I loved my treadmill until I was running over 5 miles regularly. Now I run outside or if I can't do that I will run laps around the basketball court at the gym next to me. I don't love that but I really can't stand the treadmill anymore.

Rest it a little for a couple fays or until it's feeling better and then try your workout again without the incline and see what happens. If it gets worse or doesn't start getting better soon, see your doctor.
