My husband would be miserable without compression shorts. Nike makes some awesome ones. My husband likes them better than under armor shorts.

First off, I would make sure you are eating above your BMR and not just going with the 1200 minimum. Then if I am eating close to BMR, I would eat back most of them back but if I'm a ways above BMR but still well under TDEE I would only eat about half back. MFP tends to over estimate caloric burn and even if you use a…

Are we going by WILKS scoring or just looking at the actual weight lifted with no regard to the comparison to our own body weight? Either way, possibly but I wouldn't count on it. :)

I have had even cheap compression ones that worked great.

Way to go!

Why did I not think of this?!? When you plan pizza night for your huge burn days because that's the only time you get to eat more than a slice or maybe two and it's a great way to actually get close to you calorie goal after running 10 miles.

If money is an issue you can always get beans, lentils, brown rice and quinoa and make meals on the cheap. It isn't that hard to cook real food. It might not be super exciting but it will feed you.

How much of a deficit are you trying to eat at? If you have a small goal like .5 lbs a week then it could be a little speed bump. If you are set to lose 2 lbs a week, then you were still actually eating at a deficit.

My 3rd is 4 months old. If you have been kind of stuck for a while, try mixing things up a little with your food and/or workouts. Also, never give up. That will just leave you with regrets. You got this!

Baggy clothes slide down a lot and get in the way when I'm running so I were my tighter (fit before I was pregnant) running clothes any way. I normally run out in public about 3 times a week and before I go I always say a mental apology to the people in my neighborhood for inflicting the sight of me running in these…

That's a huge deal! Way to go! If you keep that up, at some point you will be able to run a whole mile! You can't even imagine the places that can lead you to but you will never find out if you don't keep at it! Again, great job!

My forearms. Lol, kinda weird for a girl I guess but I like how they are more muscly than the average Jane's. :)

I suggest a prenatal even if you don't have any plans for children any time soon. You could add in extra vitamin D if you live someplace without a lot of sun.

I just meant that while you will get more after burn from strength, intense cardio can provide some as well and the way it was organically stated didn't reflect that. Bottom line however, is that you will get benefit from two gym workouts a week regardless of what type of workout you do. Personally, I would split gym time…
-
That isn't strictly true. Yes, adding lean muscle will help your body to burn more but many types of cardio will give you a slight added burn for hours after as long as your workout is intense enough.

Have you been losing weight but just not seeing it or feeling more flabby after losing some weight or not losing any weight at all?

Another Origonian, fun! I'm close to Spirit Mountain Casino. I'm loving the snow but you guys have more hills than I have to deal with.

I think they don't really show it on the show but they have one cheat/rest day a week that might have balanced it out some. I think I remember a reference to that one season.

You have to be below BMR for a while to go into starvation mode but I would stick to around 1450 too...that's just me though.

Great illustration!

You say 6 ft 306 lbs but I read that as teddy bear. A lot of ladies love them a teddy bear and most women like to feel safe or protected and there is a good chance you fit the bill. Dig deep and find some confidence (fake some confidence if you have to) and you'll be surprised!

Guys like that aren't likely to change their view even if you show them links proving you can't spot reduce. Go to the gym without him and find other people to help you. Before you leave do a set of crunches. If he asks how the gym was and what you did just say fine and you did some crunches and stuff. At some point plant…

Congrats for coming so far!

One thing we don't hear a lot about on the show is that because of the stress and pressure to lose weight a lot of of the competitors restrict their water intake before weigh ins and that may be part of the issue. Dehydration could have played a role in her weight, appearance and disorientation. If you add 5 lbs of water…

Same here. For me it's all about a fast, light, upbeat rhythm and not actual lyrics.

If you are feeling pretty worn out with what you're doing then just keep at that. If you don't feel challenged, think about adding to that. Good luck!

A couple things here, first if she is not new to walking around campus, the body can adapt to a regular activity and adjust for that. She probably shouldn't log that into her exercise diary but could put that into het setup info. Second, weigh and measure everything that isn't pre portioned. And lastly, she should consider…

Try making a deal with him like if you get to bench mark weights he gets something and when you get to your goal weight he gets a big prize. What ever will motivate him most. It could be dinner someplace he loves, a weekend trip, bow chicka wow wow...feeling like there is something in it for him (because he loves you how…
