Pizza. It's ok now and then but f it were up to my husband we would eat it every day!

Totally agree! Also you could try having one glass of water for every glass of wine to help cut down on some calories while increasing the water. Add a wedge of lemon and it doesn't feel as boring.

Feel free to add me too. I am at 10 miles right now and working up to my first full marathon next January. After gaining a bunch of weight with my 4 month old, my pace is really slow for me. I'm averaging between 11 and 12 minutes per mile depending on how far I am running. The awesome thing about running is all you need…

Awesome job! Let that success fuel you!

Maybe he was thinking men shouldn't over do soy protein (but I though was mostly for young boys) so in his mind whey is for men and soy is for women? As I understand it, whey protein is just a dairy by product so I don't know what the issue is.

If you are having other low thyroid symptoms (cold a lot, tired, heavy feeling feet/legs, brain fog, tongue tied) then talk to your doctor about getting on a t3 med. My levels were testing fine but I was still symptomatic and my doctor lowered my synthroid a little and added cytomel and within a couple weeks I finally felt…

I want a fully equipped weight room with plenty of open floor space.

Well what kind of goals do you have? What are your interests?

Sorry for the TMI but I just came off my first since having a c-section four months ago. It was crazy heavy and I literally was afraid I was on the verge of hemorrhaging. It was like that for about 2 days and on the morning of the 3rd. I was scheduled to run 9 miles that day and I was a bit hesitant about it but decided to…

I agree. Just try to make really good choices for a few days and don't worry a ton. Also, is your hip your only issue? Can you use a stationary bike or swim with it? If not, there are still ways to workout. Use your arms more. If you get creative, you can find ways to exercise. I'm not judging or trying to imply you're…

I'm sure you have arm and core strength to support that. Clearly be sure the platforms can't slip or keep a medic on standby. ;)

You could try leg press too but just keep at it. If you have been doing a lot of upper for a long time it's going to take a while to catch up. Are you doing like 5x5's?

She probably already knows you like her and if she is laughing at your jokes and not trying to avoid you, she very well might like you too. It sounds like you're over thinking it. Why don't you try "Hey my name is...would you like to grab a coffee (tea, hot chocolate...) with me sometime? The worst she can do is say no. Go…

Maybe a little still. You don't have tree trunk legs but they aren't teeny either. Maybe it would look different in a front view vs. profile. What are your workouts like?

Eating 800 cals one time won't hurt you in any drastic way just like going way over one time isn't cause for a detox. I still don't think it's a good idea because you could be establishing a bad pattern of binge and restrict. Instead, try to get in an workout tomorrow, eat really good choices for the day (healthy and well…

I'm no help but I can bump for you.

Thanks for your comments and support. It's extra nice when you know other people are in the same boat and understand. I'm cheering you all on too!

This! While exercise can help to increase your calorie deficit, it is for the most part the deficit that is causing weight loss. You could not workout at all and lose weight. Exercise is for health and fitness.

I think a lot of the time they go by pattern sizing and not regular sizing. That's why the numbers are so crazy big.

I hope you get to feeling great really soon. I know what you mean about diet and exercise not being for everyone. I have always ate fairly healthy and when my thyroid issue became obvious, I was eating like 1600 cals a day of healthy food and on my feet at work plus teaching martial arts and running/walking on the…

We need the like button in here too! I would be liking all these comments!

Great attitude!

Yes you do!

I guess it's a one girl challenge. lol

Find something that fits great and just revel in how amazing you look. I would rather look stunning in a size 10 than look uncomfortable or unflattering in a size 6. Good luck finding your perfect dress!

Good point about celebrities! I try not to let that get to me but every now and then it gets a bit rough.

I will do some more research on the Armour. The main thing is I don't think my insurance will cover that one. Also there is a fairly common ratio of Synthroid to Cytomel and I seem to need a little less Synthroid and a little more Cytomel than normal so I will have to see how that would translate to Armour. Thanks for the…

I hope everything continues to go well for you too! Sounds like you are on the right track. You might check the link I posted in a previous comment. It has one or two specific dietary tips for Hashimoto's. :)

I'm glad she got it sorted out! You may want to ask about a T3 med too. I was amazed at how normal I finally felt again after being put on it and I am starting to feel that way again after having it readjusted. I just wish we would have been able to tell that was an issue while I was pregnant and maybe I wouldn't have…

Bahahaha, tempting at times lol Here is a link to some interesting diet related stuff for people with low thyroid that I came across about a week ago. Some of you might find it useful. I did learn a couple little things that I didn't already know. Edit to add link.…
