How did it go? I love socializing and that's when I tend to overeat or eat off plan.

After my 2# gain last week, grr! I think the extra exercise made me feel I could overeat...NOT! This week I am starting The Doctor's Diet. So far, so good, but it's only 10:30am, haha! I am really hoping to get to 149 by May 1st! I know I need to eat healthy, and not just workout.

I gained 2# last week, not happy about it, but hopefully that and more will come off in the next couple weeks.

Monday mornings are just the toughest for me to get out of bed, I am sorry to say, I stayed in bed as long as possible this morning, until about 7am. So no am workout for me  I am posting here as my accountability that I WILL do it this evening as soon as I get home, before I eat dinner! Great job everyone! I am also…

I have that 6 weeks to a 6 pack dvd too, I was thinking the same thing! And I'm only on day 6 of this challenge, I am starting to notice a tightening in my mid-section, yay!

Finished yesterday and today. I thought I was going to be able to get through it all with pushup on my toes, but couldn't do it yet. Boo! Today was also the first day that I waited to do the workout until about 11am, since I was having a lazy day, but I really struggled through it. I am definitely going to keep up with the…

I personally would recommend sneakers, it helps so much. It helps your feet and knees and ankles. If you don't have the proper footwear, you could risk injury. My thoughts are better to be safe than sorry.

Good for you! I wish I would see a change already, that is motivating.

Today was really hard to get out of bed, but I managed and am sooo happy it's DONE! I really wanted a sleep in day, but later today we have plans and I know that I wouldn't be able to fit it in later. Good news, the jumping jacks are so much easier now! I have no problem with them. I have started looking in the mirror…

Ooops I guess today is actually day 4, I got confused because of today being a Friday and in my mind I must've thought I started Monday, which I didn't. My mind is on the weekend!

For the first few days, I did the modified version. Then this morning (Day 5) I tried to do the advanced or regular pushups. I made it through about 10, then I had to do the rest on my knees. I did that for all the pushup sections. I hope by Day 10, I will be doing the entire routine just like Jillian :) We'll see.
-
Wow, so are you saying you do the whole thing twice!?! Props to you. I'm just happy to do it once, haha!

Day 3 done! It was the toughest day for me yet, I was tired and sore, but I know if I don't do it first thing before I leave for work, it's going to be really tough to fit it in later.

I have an HR monitor, but I forgot to use it the last couple days! We are renovating our room, and I'm sure it's tucked in my gym bag under a big pile of stuff :) I've always had good success with the Polar brand. My first one lasted 10 years (and it only died because I thought I could wear it swimming, oops) the one I…

It's so nice to have a group to be accountable too. Almost as much as when I meet a friend at the gym before work. "I have to get out of bed, because they are counting on me ;)" Plus we can all complain about our sore muscles. As Jillian says, you have to make it uncomfortable to make changes!

Oh goodness, now I really need to find my measuring tape!
-
I managed to get out of bed before 6am and get my Shred On, I feel like I did the whole routine in my sleep, because before I knew what was going on, it was over! Crazy! I looked for my measuring tape, but couldn't find it, so no measurements yet for me. Pushups were still on my knees and I'm using 3# weights. I'm thinking…

Great job Mama Kriss :) I remember you mentioned in your introduction that you would be the mother of the group. I think that's awesome. I will be the Aunt :) As I'm 39, so not exactly a baby either. I got my Shred on this morning, and I have to admit I was so nervous/excited that I woke up at 3am and thought it was about…

That's hilarious, I'm going to have to look for that!

I like the idea of committing to the 30 days with no rest breaks, but if I feel I need it, I will allow myself no more than one per week.

Hello fellow Shredders, I'm 38, will be 39 on Saturday, and I normally don't pay attention to birthdays much, but this one is freaking me out for some reason! I am married and work full time, but no kids, just a fur baby, my 10 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He used to be my running buddy, but not he get's pretty tired,…

These sound great, I can't wait to try them.

I checked the book from the library this weekend, and am starting today. The plan seems pretty reasonable, I'm not yet 40, but getting close and I've notice that in the last few years, it seems like I work out twice as hard for half the results. So discouraging! I know I lose more on a lower carb diet, and I'm hoping this…

I totally agree with this! If you figure you want a glass of wine or a piece of chocolate, work your day around it. Eat veggies to balance it out. Remember you can have it all, maybe just not as much as you once wanted and not all in the same day. Don't let the treats snowball out of control. If you can skip a treat, skip…
