  • Thanks for all the advice. Much appreciated!
  • No ketchup, mustard, mayo in anyway. If I even think something might have a dash of it in there, I can't eat it.
  • I agree with get a scale and weighing everything. I just cut up or prep the food, throw it on the scale, then into the pot. I make my own microwave meals by freezing leftovers in individual portions. The recipe feature on MFP is great, but it is only going to be as accurate as you are detailed. Processed foods are terrible…
  • Onderland is having your weight start with a 1. I got there on 9/22/10 for the first time in 20 years! I like it here too.
  • For me it started with quitting smoking. I had asthma, was more than 100 lbs overweight/morbidly obese, stressed out to the max, fatal family history hanging over my head. For Valentine's Day 2009 I decided I would love myself enough to take care of myself and quit smoking. It was the best decision I ever made and started…
  • Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
  • I was on WW all of 2010. I had great success. Lost 62 pounds. I started using MFP at the beginning of the year. I lost some motivation and was able to maintain my weight. Back at losing again now. Down 9.2 lbs this month and 4 in! I really like MFP tracking better than WW. For me having a high fiber diet is very important.…
  • I will be 40 in just a week or so. I've been heavy since I became a teenager. I had the worst diet in the world! Processed foods, tons of soda, not a fruit or veggie in sight. I still drink soda, but at least it's diet soda now. I've had to learn to change the way I shop for food and how I cook it. I am really just…
  • Love mine! I found it cheaper at a local store and didn't have to pay for shipping and handling. Was talking with someone at the gym today... She had a different brand. She is a runner, and her model included gps and running rate. I don't need all of that info. The FT4 will track your calories burned and heart rate.
  • I also am going to get a new tattoo when I get to my goal weight!
  • Recommended by whom? I trust my doctor and follow all of her recommendations.
  • Congrats! What a triumph! I bet you were floating on air. LOL Sorry, bad pun. I had to go there though. All joking aside, your hard work has really paid off.....thanks for the inspiration! Keep up the good work!
  • I started slowly... chopping up dreaded unwanted veggies into the smallest of pieces and adding them to meatloaf or spaghetti sauce. I tried one new thing a month. I ate it once a week for a month. If I didn't like it after that, I never ate it again. I eat a larger variety of veggies now, and I eat them daily. Fruit same…
  • The site is just recommending a % of your calories to be eaten as protein/carbs/fat. I follow my Dr. recommendations and get between 25 and 30 grams of fiber and my current weight X .5 for my grams of protein.
  • It's funny that this topic came up. I saw on the news yesterday about new nutritional info for eggs. Here's a link. http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/216020.php
  • Maybe it's time to go see your doctor.
  • I bought a new scale last year. I purchased a digital scale that I thought would be more accurate. I wanted to be able to see those 0.2 losses! At first, I was frustrated because the new scale weighed heavier than my old scale. It was a very small amount, less than 2 pounds. A year later, it doesn't matter one bit about…
  • I did WW Online last year. It changed my life. I think it is a wonderful program. I lost over 60 pounds last year. I found MFP and decided to do this for the next year. No matter what you do, you have to be committed to do it.
