I ran across your story while reading the news on CNN last week because I'm always on the lookout for encouraging weight loss stories. I enjoyed reading about your friendship and your commitment to each other and losing weight. Thanks for the link to the video. Very nice and encouraging.

I enjoyed this! I love humor, intelligently done.

I don't know if this will be helpful or not. The comments with reference to making sure you eat your net calories and smaller meals several time a day are very helpful. I looked at your diary and before I opened it I figured that I would find that you are not using very many healthy fats. And so it was. Healthy fats slow…

IMHO: Let's assume that not everyone is lying, is unaware of how much they eat, is eating in secret or has an unknown health issue. Two committed people follow the same weight loss and exercise program but have very different results. Is it possible that metabolism played a part in this?!!! The study on the sets of twins…

Thank you so much! I finally got this to work. Curiosity made me want to know if my calories were consistent with what my WW points should be. Interestingly, I am eating within my calories and consistently staying within my points (daily plus 1/7 of weekly).

It is attributed to the loss of water from the body. Depending on how much a person weighs, that kind of loss might happen for a couple weeks, but, for…

Obviously different factors come into play with this, but, yes, it is possible to lose weight even when you cannot exercise. Even if you are inactive, if you eat less than your daily caloric requirement you will lose weight over time. I can speak to the truthfulness of this because I am 61 and have a chronic illness that…

5'6" I weighed 128 when I was in my late 20s and it looked good then. It wouldn't now. I weighed 148-155 in my mid 50's (after losing about 60 pounds) and when I look back at my pics from then I am distressed to see that I looked too thin, like a big head on a skinny body. Now that I am 61, I am looking to weigh about 168.…
