Unless you have a medical reason to do so, you don't need to worry so much about sugar. If you want to watch your sugar any way, the American Heart Association recommends limiting *added* sugars for 6 teaspoons a day for women and 9 for men. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/added-sugar/my00845…

If you guys have friends who also have kids, you guys can set up a schedule where couples take turns watching each others kids and take date nights like that. Also, sex.

Re-reading Maus by Art Spiegelman, Watchman by Alan Moore, and reading 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami for the first time.

If you can work out that much and don't experience and detrimental effects, keep going with it. If you are worried, consult your doctor.

Low to mid fifties here.

Oh no. I prefer to date someone with no opinons. Extra points if they have no personality too. Cause you know, that's the funnest thing ever.

Please tell me vodka is a-okay! Or is it unsafe because it is also clear and wet? Oh my god, how far down does the rabbit hole go?!

Maybe go to the gym and hit something. Or just find someone to talk to. Or hey, get all dressed up and go out just to have some fun. Make new friends in your new home :D Either way, I hope you feel better hun. Someone that treats you like that isn't worth the time you spend hurting for them.

You're gonna need heavier weights than that. I didn't "tone up" till I started working with weights in the 80-130 lbs range.

I think I get more compliments from guys with straight but I usually leave it wavy. It works out cause women hit on me more when my hair is wavy.

Well, there is such a thing as compulsive overeating; it's a behavioral issue, however, it really shouldn't be an excuse for staying overweight since it's treatable. A huge majority of cases can be completely cured, or at greatly lessened with therapy and nutritional counseling (something like 80% last I read). Most people…

Just three things as far as I'm concerned: 1. Be honest about what you're eating and how much-- if you can't do that, you aren't ready to start losing weight. 2. Knock off the fad diets; work on constructing a balanced and nutritious diet rather than just cutting out all the "bad" foods that are so totally bad because…

Kimchi-- 30 calories per half cup.

Is that The Ocean at the end of the Lane? I have it but haven't started. I'm so back logged with reading material and it's only gonna get worse when he starts up his Sandman run again.

Lots of calories with little to no nutritional value is what I consider "junk". I still consume them but make sure I don't over-do it.

I think people put too much stock in MFP usernames.

You should really have a look at Terry Pratchett if you like comedies. Neil Gaiman is also one of my absolute favorite writers.

Thirty minutes, sans shower, to get ready is low maintenance? Geezum, thirty minutes is what I spend when I feel like spending a lot of time to get ready. Unless of course, I take a detour to play with my dog. Or my cat decides to make off with some of my make-up.

Mine used to be an In N Out cheeseburger with grilled onions. Lately though, salmon burgers topped with fresh basil (or pesto), onion, honey mustard, sun dried tomato vinaigrette, and habenero jack cheese on an onion roll are my favourites. I'm not big on red meat.

Mostly soups. Sometimes plain oatmeal. Those are my go-tos when I can't stomach anything more substantial.

All before noon! Oh my Cthulu, you guys are good.

"We conclude that a calorie is a calorie. From a purely thermodynamic point of view, this is clear because the human body or, indeed, any living organism cannot create or destroy energy but can only convert energy from one form to another. In comparing energy balance between dietary treatments, however, it must be…

Well I ran when I was overweight and my knees are fine. Make sure you have good shoes and pace yourself. If you are worried, use ellipticals until you lose a bit of weight-- you'll still be building up endurance and working out your cardiovascular system, so you'll be able to run later on.

Ole knife to the eye!

Would taking your own lunch be feesible? You can cook in bulk when you do find some time or make a really good, filling sandwich and bring it with you. If you have errands to run, you can put your food in those thermal lunch boxes. Otherwise, Panera has some good food. Look up sites for any fast food chain you like-- many…

Well if you like gaming get Steam on your computer-- tons of free games. If you like reading, hang out at a library. Take up learning a new language. Craft. Learn to change your car oil. Waste your life away reading old firejoemorgan.com & regretsy.com posts. And go read Goon. It's not free, but comics are cheap enough.

If obesity is a disease, then we obviously are not meant to be fat. While storing some fat is good-- in case one experiences nutrient deprivation-- storing an excess of fat is not beneficial. At all.
-
Cutting out fast food is a really easy way to cut calories. You can almost always make something that taste just as good (or better) for way less calories any way. I especially notice this with burgers and sandwiches.

That is not what I asked. I asked for the specific study YOU looked at and said you wouldn't quote because it might be mocked. I want to read the exact same study you did. I want to see the sources and check their credibility for myself. I have done my own research and have even put one of the sources I cited up earlier in…

A couple of posts back, you said you wouldn't cite research you have that supports your side because it would be criticized-- sorry but, that is the point of any scientific research, to stand up to scrutiny. If you do not think the research you have can stand up to criticism and questioning, you should really re-examine…
