I would have this problem if I put my feet all the way to the top of the pedal (or whatever it is called) but since I moved my feet back I haven't had the problem anymore.

I don't know if you pray but that helped me sleep well at night. I would pray right before bed, it could be as few as 10 min to 30 min and it worked wonders for me.

I use the eliptical but I would say switch it up between running and doing the eliptical. Do different workout settings but don't just stick to the same routine. You should also be lifting weights at least 3 times a week.
