  • No change in weight this week. I guess I have to behave this week and work hard like I did week 1.
  • Another eason to get enough fluids daily: according to a study posted in a Women's Health article, men and women that drank 17 ounces of water increased their metabolic rates by 30% percent within 10 minutes. The article suggets that women drink a total of 11 8 oz cups of fluids to reap fat burning benefits.

  • We also buy a big bag of almonds from Costco and roast them in the oven for 15 minutes at 325. We add cinnamon and real maple syrup or honey to sweeten it. It smells so good when baking. I think 16-20 almonds is appropriate for a snack size. I have to check with DH though to verify.
  • This one takes a little prep time, but not too much. Dice half of an avocado. Mix with the same amount of salsa. Use as a dip for baby carrots. It's yummy!
