After I wash all the grease out and apply fresh grease, I let my skillet heat for a good 10 minutes before putting food in it. The preheat seems to help a lot.

I am always looking for a little extra motivation and am happy to provide a few thoughtful words!

My gym has a body fat thing and it tells me that I have 109 lbs of lean muscle and that leaves me with 32 lbs of fat. I weigh 141 total. 32/141=my body fat Or you can use calipers and an online calculator

Fish is my go too for low fat protein.

If the 20th time isnt lucky, then I am screwed!

It wasn't quite like that. The ex and I were having problems before I even met the gym guy. I eventually ended the one relationship and eventually started the new relationship.

I already have a swole mate

So this guy at the gym asked me if I wanted to go for a hike one day. We had been briefly introduced from my friend/his coworker previously. I told him I had a boyfriend and he said I could bring my boyfriend too. The boyfriend didnt want to go and never wanted to do anything fun with me. Guess who I am dating now? Now the…

I just had my 30th birthday

I hate new cast iron... everything sticks for me no matter what I do. I find nice smooth cast iron skillets at garage sales and thrift centers. Let someone else break them in for 50 years, lol

I shoot for a sensible portion of something I wouldn't normally have. I will eat a burger but have a side salad instead of fries after all I am not a huge fry fan anyways. I shoot to indulge but not wreck my week of hard work.

I split up my meals into carbs, protein and veggies. I just count fruit as carbs and don't worry about it. I am a huge advocate for fruit being healthy. Fruit gets a bad rap because it is considered a simple sugar (like table sugar) and not a complex carb (like sweet potatoes). The fiber in fruit slows down the uptake of…

I just started drinking 16 cups/ a gallon a day. Making the impossible possible one day at a time

I don't know the answer to your question but have you thought about diluting the BCAAs down to flavor your water? I do 1/2 scoop in my 6 cup pitcher and normally fill it again with another 1/2 scoop of a different flavor. I just started drink 16 cups of water a day and having a couple flavored pitchers really has helped me…

Shoot for being sore. If you aren't sore the day after a strength training workout, you should probably go back

Personally I go by feel. If I feel like doing even 4-5 days in a row, I just do it. If I feel like my butt and legs are so fatigued from leg day that I can't even walk, I will probably take a couple days off.

I brew a cup of tea (5min), wait for it to cool enough (5min), sip on it (15min) and then reevaluate if I am in fact hungry. If I am hungry still, I eat another meal. I found that meals or mini meals make more sense to balance for me than a snack. For example, yesterday I was extra hungry and ate lean meat over a bed of…

Something I noticed with exercise and weight loss is that the more I work out the less quickly I lose weight. This is the only time I have ever tracked waist, hip, thigh and other measurements and would highly recommend it. I lost 1 measly little pound but lost 1/2 inch off my waist, 1/2 inch off my hips and 3/4 inch of…

As others suggested consistency is important for comparison. I always measure myself w/o clothes in the morning. I measure the smallest part of my waist and neck but everything else I measure the largest part. I measure hips/butt, thighs, calves and upper arms. I generally try a few different times and then take the lowest…

I drink tea when I am starving, tired and waiting for my food to be done. I also try to keep quick treats like candy out of the house. Like others have suggested, you might be too much in a deficit. Even eating all your calories for a week and then cutting back again might help

I am 5' 1.75" tall! Short people lose weight so differently. I lose 5 lbs and lose a dress size, unlike tall people. I started hitting up the gym a few months ago and have increased in intensity. I am up to working out 3-7 days a week depending on my schedule. I invested (thanks Walmart) in some cute cheap gym stuff that…

Idk... but it can always be revived!!! I am 5' 1.75" tall.

I am guessing you need to see an MD. Aside from that, arm workouts, donkey kicks, fire hydrants, side laying leg lifts, reverse crunch, scissor kicks, bicycle crunches...

There is a difference between sore ankle muscles and questionable injury. If it is just sore muscles, I would just try spacing out the run/jog and slowing down. I am doing c25k too. I normally repeat each week before moving on because otherwise it feels like too much for me. I

Many things can affect weight loss in the beginning of dieting. Are you eating lower sodium? I can lose 5 lbs overnight by eating a lower sodium diet for a day (think homemade food vs salty take out). Having less food in your body at a time will also weigh less. These types of numbers do affect the scale but arent…

For me, I have decided to stop logging exercise and it makes me feel better about the time I spend logging calories. It makes me feel more balanced and therefor easier to stick with it. I think there are multiple right ways and it is all about finding what works for you

And clothing sizes don't match from one store to the next! I wear xs to xl in shirts, 7-11 in juniors pants and 6-12 in jeans

Agreed! I like to keep candy/desert for guests so I pick things I don't like. Butter pecan icecream and Reese's pieces are two things I won't touch but still lets me be the host I want to.
