Coffee is a nice pre-workout for me. If I really need an extra boost, I will take 1/2 scoop of BPI 1MR. I never drink coffee and take pre-workout within a few hours of each other. I hate feeling jittery and tingly.

Your goals are similar to mine. I am 5’2” 141 lbs. I am on day 6 of my new diet. I am watching my Macros. I am shooting for 100+ grams of protein, less than 100 grams carbs and then leftover calories are fat, roughly 50 grams but it depends on the day. Taking control of what I can really helps my stress. I meal prepped for…

Idk how many carbs you are eating but there is a huge difference between consuming 100-150g and 20g. If you are super low on carbs, you are probably going through Keto Flu.

I am starting day 5. I have been shooting for 1200 calories 100+grams of protein, less than 100 grams of carbs and the rest in fat which normally is about 50g. I seriously contemplating upping my calories on a daily basis.

They say eat clean, go low carb and lower salt intake to look the best. The low carb and lower salt will decrease water retention. I am far from needing to cut like that but it sounds right.

Unless they are homemade treats or what I would consider a favorite, I don’t even bother with it. If it is something I truly want, I will try to find someone to split it or tell myself I can go back in an hour to scope it out. Secretly, I hope all the good stuff is gone before I get there

I like chai tea with 3 oz milk and 4 grams agave syrup. After it is good and steeped, I pop it into the blender. It makes a delicious foamy treat with a little fat, protein and carbs but not too many calories.

Going to the gym helps kill some time. I drink preworkout before/during the gym workout and a protein shake after the gym. That really tides me over for a few hours and I still have a calorie deficit.

I wish someone told me that having workout friends was so dang helpful a decade ago. Now we can do fun stuff that involves exercise. My advice would be to find something you don’t hate and do that for exercise

It is definitely ok to be happy about a 35 lb weight loss. I am over heat unashamedly happy about a 4 pound weight loss 😉Unless money is of no consequence, I would wait to re-do my wardrobe until I hit goal weight or closer to it. In the mean time you still have to wear clothes... I try to buy items that will still fit if…

I suppose it depends where you are fitness wise. I workout 1-2 hours at a time. Some days I am just feeling it and am having a good time. It isn’t like I am doing a 2 hour hit workout though. I normally feel fatigued when it is time to go home. Listen to what your body is telling you and adjust accordingly

I just started drinking my coffee with 1TBS of coconut milk (the kind for cooking that is just pure coconut milk without additives). Pop it in the blender with my 7-8 oz of coffee and it tastes enough like a latte to make me happy. 33 calories per cup x 3 cups = 99 calories

I use BMI as a guideline. BMI compares height and weight only. I prefer to use body tape measurements and weight. When I work out a lot, my height and weight may stay the same but I can lose 3 inches off my hips. I tried body fat calipers but it is really hard to use them by myself.

I shoot for 1200 calories without exercise but I normally exercise and eat back my calories. I am just starting back up and trying to eat mostly whole foods. I always welcome more friends :)

I read excess protein makes smelly farts/poop. If it is excess, maybe cut back? Probiotics might help.

This sounds awesome!!! Today 4/25:149.2 (first weight in a while and hoping for that initial water weight drop) 4/30: 5/7: 5/14: 5/21: 5/28: 6/4: 6/11: 6/18 (aka my 31st B-day): Goal 140-141

HahahHa. I am so jealous. I have built up to being able to do a 100 in a day. Good job to all you that are busting these out.

Gaining dense muscle and losing fat will make it seem like it isn’t much but I can easily tell from the pics you lost inches for sure!
-
Wow! You look fantastic! Congratulations on taking control of your future!!

Swimming might be good. I would honestly focus on strength training and let your body heal. Back, chest, abs, biceps and triceps. There aren’t a ton of leg exercises I can think of... It is surprising how a little strength training makes cardio easier

Count me in!

I read that it is easiest to lose 1% of body fat per month. If we weigh 140 with 30-40lbs of that being body fat, we would only lose 3-4 lbs a month. It takes a long time for me to lose weight and I researched it a bit although that wasn’t a scientific article or anything

You look fantastic! I can’t wait to see those kind of results. It is really nice to see what a difference a little weight loss does to us short ladies

I like to do physical body measurements (upper arm, chest, waist, hips, thighs and calves) for two reasons 1) The scale can stay the same as I lose fat and gain muscle but my body measurements will shrink 2) I tell myself the weight plateau is because of all my workouts when in fact it isn’t and I need something that is…

Original starting weight -I am a repeat mfp customer. This stent started April 11th April 11th starting weight: 152.0lbs April goal: 144lbs Ultimate goal: 135-140lbs April 15 -146.8 (I am enjoying my initial drop in weight although I realize the only way to really drop weight this fast in the first week is to factor in…

I am 30 years old, 5’2” 149lbs with a goal weight of 140lbs. I restarted my diet 2.5 days ago and I am going strong, lol. I am pretty decent at getting my gym time in but obviously overeat, especially the wrong types of food. I am trying to stay focused on eating mostly healthy clean food with the occasional treat. Feel…

I am 5’2 and about 150 lbs. i spent a year regularly exercising and my body is definitely in better shape but my weight is roughly the same. I am looking to drop about 10 pounds. Anyone is welcome to add me

I don’t log minimal exercises like walking, gardening, yard work as that is all pretty normal for me. I also don’t log vitamins or gum. I figure it all is close enough. I already feel pretty obsessive counting calories.

Whiskey with sparkling water and tons of lime or vodka done up the same way... I try to limit the artificial sweeteners in my life but you could easily do the same with diet soda

Reducing body fat will make your mid section smaller. Of note, building muscle on your hips, butt, chest and shoulders will also make you look curvier
