  • I concentrate more on the carbs, protein and fats then the calories but just make sure I'm within my calorie limit. I try to choose my carbs, protein and fats wisely and pick whole grain carbs, lean proteins and healthy fats.

  • I can't resist mac n cheese or really any pasta. I just love pasta :) Also augratin potatoes are one of my favorites. Anything that combines a carb and cheese is great in my book! Just try to have almost none of those things anymore unless I plan for it.

  • I'm from the Chicago area... and of course the foods that are big here are deep dish pizza which includes lots of cheese and a butter crust and italian beefs. Both are wonderfully delicious :) Of course the sausage on the deep dish pizza is a huge patty of sausage too!

  • My periods have gotten lighter since I was put on the paraguard though they couldn't have gotten much heavier I guess. I just had some bad cramping for the first few months when I had my period but it has subsided since and I feel like a normal person. It's definitely a great IUD and there are no hormones woo hoo :)
  • I had blood clots in my lungs and can't use hormonal BC either but I have the paraguard which is the copper IUD and I like it so far. I had some bad cramping at first but I don't have to worry about it for 10 years and it's nice.
  • I was on a gluten free lactose free diet for a while. I had a lot of quinoa, rice, veggies, fruits, lean meats ( I was only allowed chicken, fish and turkey), I did enjoy the corn based pastas. Good luck :)
