MFP sets your protein very low! Most people adjust it to a range that makes more sense to them. I have mine set to a level that works for me. If you know what works for you, change your settings. It is under goals, and you use custom goals.

Treat with RICE- Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. You HAVE to rest!! I had shin splints bad from running during a deployment. One thing you always should do is check your shoes. I could not get new ones while deployed, but I could do other treatments. Rest and let them heal. Shin splints are actually tiny tears where…

This is not entirely correct. Many of the restrictions depend on doctor opinion. I have implants, under the muscle, and I still do chest workouts. I got them while in the military and still did push ups! It is a common misconception that you cannot do chest workouts with unders. Do your research and check with doctors…

Here's #8. You go girl!!!

I like to shred the leftovers and use them for chicken burritos with some corn, beans, salsa, and a sprinkle of cheese. Or a soup with tons of veggies. You can do a spinach wrap with some avocado and veggies. Shredded chicken chili with some chunky tomato, beans, and sauce served over brown rice.

I currently have two, both symbolizing my marriage. (7 years and still going strong!) The first is a large lower back piece. It covers most of my lower back from flank to flank. It is two dragon heads coming together to form a heart shape. In the middle is a lily (my favorite flower) and there are plumerias around the…

I make these on Sundays if it will be a busy week. http://blogilates.com/recipe-index/quick-high-protein-breakfast-idea-clean-egg-muffins I like to add Jimmy Dean precooked turkey sausage crumbles and change up the seasonings. The morning before eating you can eat cold or microwave for a tiny bit.

I'm 5'1.5" and currently 116lbs. I am happiest at 110lbs give or take. I'm currently set to maintenance with the goal of heavy lifting and doing a recomp to get more muscle and burn some fat. Then maybe I'll do a moderate cut, if necessary.

There are plenty out there. Moving Comfort has some good ones, Tata Tamer, Under Armour Endure DD, Shock Absorber, Freya Active, Enell, Royce.

I just separated a little bit ago. I wonder if there is a group here for vets? I wouldn't say that I have let myself go, but I have enjoyed a bit of a break. I also finished my BS for nearly free, just paid for books. :)

Never thought I'd see one of my friends say this, but I can totally see how. Me, I love boobies! With out them there'd be no need for cute bras. :) I wouldn't give mine up for anything.

I did something similar except it was a 10k called the Dirty Dash. People came all dressed up with their teams. It's tons of fun. There are different ones hosted around the country under different names.

I'm 5'1.5" and about 115lbs right now. My body is happiest at about 110lbs. I am eating about 1350-1500 cals a day, with higher levels of protein. I watch my sodium intake more than anything due to kidney stones. I'm currently recovering from surgery, but once I'm cleared I want to get back into the gym and back to heavy…

Buffalo wings and Hot Tamales candy. Chicken wings are way too high in sodium for me, otherwise I wouldn't give them up.

Your body is very adaptable. If you have been consistently eating 1200 cals it will get used to that level, know what it is going to get, and become more efficient. By upping your calories you show your body that food is more plentiful and that there is no need to hold on to any excess. It is a very delicate balance. You…

I have problems with this sometimes. I had stomach surgery when I was 18 and it at times I can have problems eating. I end up having problems with weakness and nausea from not eating. The only thing to do is find things that are easy to eat and keep down comfortably. I started my day with crackers and yogurt because of…

I graduated in 2002 at 94lbs and desperately trying to gain. It took years of hard work to do it. Now I'm at about 115lbs. My body likes to be at around 110lbs with more muscle and less fat, so that is where I'd like to be.

You've seen my journal. I have my protein set pretty high. I'm doing a 40p/30f/30c which puts me at 135g protein. I do not advocate low carb by any means, I just find it difficult for me to get a higher carb intake while trying to keep my sodium low. Lower sodium is much more important for me. Don't worry too much if you…

I love bodyrock workouts. I really like how they demonstrate everything and provide easier alternatives for beginners. They are individual based, so the intensity depends on you. You push yourself on good days and take things a little lighter when you are sick or your body is tired. It's great for travelers! There is a…

I'm going to second the Freya Active sports bra. Its one of the best underwire varieties out there. You could also check for Panache's new sports bra, Shock Absorber, or Royce. They all come in band/cup combos. You want compression and encapsulation to keep them firmly supported and separated. You won't get zero bounce,…

I just separated from the AF a few months ago. It is definitely an adjustment! I'm going to send you a friend request. Our goals may not be similar, but I think I understand where you are coming from. :)

I'm not trying to gain, but I'm trying to convert. I have some body fat that I need to loose, and some muscle I want to gain. It isn't really about the number on the scale, it's the overall look of the body. I'm sure there are others in this same position.

This was a great read, even if you only take parts of it. I love the fact that each person involved in the book has credentials to back what they are saying.
-
I'm currently recovering from surgery and facing the same thing. I find that actually getting out and doing makes me feel better, even if I am exhausted after. I just started with walking. Back in the gym I just take things down a notch, doing only a percentage of what I did before. Honestly it is easier to just be and not…

I prefer to work out alone. If I work out at home I get enough encouragement in the form of dog kisses. I don't like going to the gym at times because I do some things differently. I have a difficult time with machines because I am short, so it can take some modification to do each exercise. I work out at a military gym,…

I am a 10lb-er too! Those smaller amounts are the hardest to loose. I want to loose 10lbs and I also want to gain some muscle. So really I don't necessarily have a weight goal as much as a look.

Both Freya Active and Panache have band/cup sized sports bras. As does Shock Absorber and Royce. The Panache is newer, just came out this year. These are all UK brands (lucky for them, not so lucky for those in the US). They all make FF/G depending on the band size.
-
For sports bra brands: Moving Comfort Freya Active Panache Short Absorber Royce Under Armour (check out the Endure DD)

I did the deodorant thing while deployed. It worked ok, but not really worth the extra effort in the morning. Like the previous poster, you need to make sure your bra is fitting right. A good sports bra for a larger breast will have compression and encapsulation. The compression will stop bounce, the encapsulation will…
