After living in the Polar Vortex for the last 5 months ( -28 today yikes) I am practically giggly thinking about warm weather and bathing suit season. Last summer, 70 lbs heavier, I stayed away from the beach. Not this summer! While I'm not sporting a rockin' body, I am exceedingly more comfortable in my own skin and am…

Great NSV! Congrats

Success is measured in how many times you get back up, not how many times you fall.

Yay! I'm so glad your hip pain has abated!
-
I lost the majority of my weight through walking and calorie restriction. I'm running now for the sheer enjoyment of it. Have fun!
-
Yeah, SURE you could...what a dork!

23 lbs! Wonderful! People get hinky about mentioning weight loss. I bet they are noticing but don't know how to broach the subject tactfully.

Thank you for taking the time to share your journey and findings. It's nice to see "the big picture" and not just the scale number. You're doing a great!

I'm nearly at initial goal weight...11 lbs to go. I can do many of the things I've been looking forward to...fit comfortably on airplane seats, rollercoasters, not feel like I'm going to break the hairstylist's chair, etc. What I'm really looking forward to is a fitness goal...running the half marathon in June.
-
Way to go!!! That is awesome. I, too, am one of the people who never thought they'd become a runner...I'm signed up for 3 5ks, 10 mile, 5 mile, and a half marathon over the next 6 months!

Nancy, I'm so sorry you're having a rough time. COE is a hard thing to overcome. I wish there were magic words to make you feel better. Just know, you're not alone. Perhaps speak to your physician or a therapist specializing in eating disorders?

Shut the front door!!! No way, man. You are my personal hero!

Firstly, congratulations on your weight loss and your dedication to a healthier you! A few tips that helped me... ~proper running shoes. I have a high arch and am an under-pronator, changed shoes for this and has helped tremendously. ~go slow, don't worry about those zippy runners...I occasionally run with a woman 20 years…

How stinkin' adorable are you two?!? Congratulations on your success!
-
I also log it at circuit training. I only log the time for the wod part...usually 20 minutes or so.

Nicely put!

Congratulations! Moving into a new "century" is exciting news!

36 G here...I use the High Impact DD underarmour and the Enell brand. We love the enell for horseback riding...really is the only bra that does a decent job on that.

I noticed a significant change in about a month...as I keep pushing, I continue to see improvements. ~one month ago, could barely do fifty singles jumping rope. Now, I can push out 200 w/o too much effort...even throwing in a few double unders. ~November could only walk, now running 3 to 5 miles each run

For me, winter compression running tights and good bras. Jiggle is very distracting while trying to run ;)

Glad you've sought help from your doctor. If you're not finding relief in a reasonable timeframe, you should go back. I'm sure there are more options available. Some things that help me...yoga, deep breathing, reading, getting enough sleep ~ this is a biggie, doing my favorite hobby...sewing.

I started at doing them every 10 lb loss...as my exercise increased and my weightloss slowed, I switched to monthly.

Congratulations!!! reaching onederland is such a onederful feeling ;)

Absolutely speak with your physician. While, I've been lucky, exercise has helped ease my anxiety and panic attacks, it took quite a while for me to feel less anxious...about 4 months.

Congrats!

I've been doing CrossFit for about 6 weeks. I, too, was terrified to go in at first. One nice thing is that they have you work 1 on 1 with a trainer the first few times at the gym. (at least my box did) Also, the trainers have always been very nice when I ask questions during the workouts. I've never been made to feel…
