Are you feeling like you aren't losing fast enough? Because 12lbs in 6 weeks is fantastic! That's two pounds a week!! It isn't recommended that you lose any faster than that anyway. You are already on the high end of the losing scale. It takes time. Just keep working at it and it will happen :)

Maybe the XL wasn't about your weight at all, maybe it had more to do with the fact that you are 6'5"!

I'm 4'10" and while most are adjustable, they don't adjust enough for me.

Another shorty here. I would also love to hear any advice on starting a lifting program. I've heard free weights are the way to go. I just don't really know where to begin!
-
Skydiving I'm under the weight limit, but I'm only 4'10" and I'm sure that I'm bigger around that many people who are over the weight limit so I don't dare try for fear the harness/parachute won't fit.

Everyone makes mistakes. Don't be so hard on yourself. A positive attitude goes a long way! That being said, have you had your vitamin levels checked? Sometimes being low on a particular vitamin (like your Bs) can cause you to be a little "fuzzy brained" and forgetful. It's worth looking into. Keep your head up. Never…

Amazing transformation!

I will grant you that you are more informed than the average consumer. And if you aren't eating wheat, soy, or corn as you say, than likely you ARE avoiding the majority of GMOs, which is great! However, don't believe what you read about the PLUs. I'm aware that conventional just means it was grown using pesticides,…

This shows how uninformed you, yourself are. Do you understand that if you eat anything labeled as "conventionally grown" you have likely eaten GMOs? Do you understand that the problem with them not being labeled means you almost certainly HAVE eaten GMOs? It does reduce your chances that you don't buy packaged foods, but…

That's not a bait and switch. What that is is a case of a couple of stock boys being uninformed. It's unfortunate that they didn't understand what GMOs were, but that has nothing to do with Whole Foods stance on the issue. The article outright lies several times. Never, not once, have I ever seen them train anyone to say…

You look fantastic!! I loved the story about the woman praying with you at the doctor's office. God was looking out for you. Congrats on your transformation!!

What test did they do to test your blood sugar? Did they do the finger prick or did they test your A1c? The finger prick only tells them what your blood sugar was right at the time of the test, in which case it's possible that the truffles were the problem. If they did an A1c, that test tells you what your sugar was…

This is not true. I work for Whole Foods and I know they've been fighting for YEARS to have labeling in GMO foods. They have been the biggest backer of the Non-GMO Project since it's inception! We all wanted Prop 37 to pass as well. It was a company wide initiative. They got a bad rap because people pointed out that many…

I have had my cat for 12 years. He is the sweetest, most loving little guy. He never scratches furniture. I also trained him to go to the bathroom outside so I almost never have to clean the litterbox. I keep one in the house for emergencies, but he uses it less than once a month. It's wonderful. Cats are great pets.

I did the c25k when I was still morbidly obese. When I first tried jogging, I got the shin pain so I went back to just walking and worked on losing a little more weight. After I'd lost a little more, I tried jogging again. Once again, I got the shin pain, so again I went back to walking and lost a little more weight. On…

Yay! I felt so bad reading your previous post. Snarky or not, whether they admit it or not, I'm sure you have impressed them. The more you run, the greater their respect for you will be (not that you need their respect). Keep it up. You rose above and displayed a better attitude than they did. Hopefully, they are seeing…

omg, the edit clarification has me dying. too funny

The thing about loose skin is that only you and your significant other see it. With fat, everyone sees it.

fun idea. :)

woohoo!!! :)

I don't talk about it at all. A few people have asked and when they do I answer them, but tend to downplay it.

This. It's not a matter of getting down to a certain weight. It's a matter of finding a woman who will love you inside and out. I promise you, we're out there. Keep looking. if you're rejected, chalk it up to them not being the right one for you and move on. Never give up!!

It takes awhile for your mind to catch up with the changes in your body. Your weight loss is amazing!! It might help to talk to someone who is familiar with this kind of thing. They can help you learn to see the wonderful thing you've done for yourself rather than focusing on the flaws. They can also reassure you that what…
