  • I know you all keep saying talk to your doctors and while that may seem like great advice, most doctors don't always give you tons of information on food/diet/exercise. Mine just said follow a healthy diet and exercise as you normally do. What a load of help that was! Unless you have had issues getting pregnant or you are…
  • Oh and go out and buy Jenny McCarthy's Belly Laughs. You will die laughing. She may make some people cringe but she really hits the nail on the head when it comes to a woman's point of view about pregnancy.
  • Congrats! I am going to the doctor today to get a "yes you are pregnant" so I am in your same boat! But this is my second. For my first I was like ehh I will eat whatever makes me feel good and I got to 180 by they end of it. EWWW. This time not going to happen. I am eating a well balanced diet with an emphasis on veggies…
  • If it hurts more than a week be sure to talk with your doctor! I waited four weeks after my injury to go to the doctor thinking that it would work itself out and it just inflamed it more! I could be running now if I gotten my MRI back when it first happened! I could possibly get my boxing workout on. Just nix the kicks or…
  • This is wonderful!! I have been trying to cut my starbucks habit by making espresso drinks at the office. I use Cafe Bustelo with steamed Almond Milk + Protein Vanilla and one Sweet & Low. It's not as great as the Vanilla Latte but definitely cuts down on the calories and the $4 a cup!
  • Today I have to do my pushup challenge, 2 walks during the work day, 60 squats, my 200 leg lifts from yesterday and my normal gym work out can't decide if I want to do strength or cardio today. Another goal for myself is to make an effort to sit up straight. I sit at a desk all day and I noticed in pictures from a wedding…
  • Oh dear I forgot my weight! It's 145.6. But I started off at 160 after my lil mini me was born so I am doing good, just at a standstill as I am being LAZY!!!

  • Hey everyone! I'm Meredith from sunny North East Florida! I am 31 years young and have a gorgeous 2 year old. I put on about 20 extra pounds after mini-me was born but I am back down to 145. Which is GREAT but now I want to be back to my "fighting" weight of 135. I have been at this weight for awhile, allowing everything…

  • Why don't you check out the South Beach diet? It isn't as hard core as Atkins and works more with Glycemic Index than carbs. There are good carbs out there such as fruit and veggies. Most everything has some sort of carb to it. I would mostly stay away from starches such as white rice, white potatoes, breads and pastas. A…
  • I would be super careful with juice or sodas. The more clear the drink the better, especially for the hangover. I always order a water with my drinks too. I am up at 6 am no matter what so I don't want a hangover especially with a 1 1/2 yr. old screaming and being crazy. I also agree with watching your overall calories…
  • I do a really good vodka with seltzer water and a splash of Mio Blueberry lemonade. It is pretty darn good.
  • I have only had mine a few days so I am still working all the kinks out but I love it. I really enjoy using it to see my distance for running. I am training for a 15K and it makes me want to push further because I want to hit my goals everyday!!! Plus it syncs pretty well to MFP and their is a great community once you sign…
  • I would do this too. Just be light-hearted about it, maybe if you all go to lunch together one day bring up the holiday season and see what he says. If he does say that he will be taking time off be like "Wow, I thought you were already over your time?" I would not make a formal complaint about it. I would suggest bringing…
  • The absolute MOST you will be able to lose to January 1st will be 20 lbs. THE MOST!!! That is 2 pounds a week. I think if you cut your goal to a more manageable goal then you will not be setting yourself up for failure and you will see better results. I did Army bootcamp and my mother swore I was anorexic when she got…
  • So I read the book, FINALLY, and I must say it was a great story. Loved all the descriptions and was totally a fan of Poppet and Widget. They were so cute but determined. And I really like how Bailey was tied into the story. What I would have really loved was if there was a book on more of the backgrounds of the different…
  • I did the Color Me Rad "run" in September and had a BLAST!!! Yes you get color on you and yes it is a FUN run but you can take it as serious or relaxed as you want. My girlfriend and I just ran and had a great time being silly and getting in a workout at the same time. We got entry for cheap because we went through Living…

  • It was my day to sleep in, because class didn't start until noon that day for me. I woke up around 10 am to turn on my TV shows and couldn't figure out why all my shows weren't on. I ran into the hallway at the dorms to figure out what was going on. The girls across the hall had to fill me in on what was going on. I…
  • I guess I am weird too but I track everything. . . .unless I skip the whole day entirely. Even late at night when I want a snack I say to myself "Do I want to eat it then track it or do I just want to sleep?" Usually sleep wins out. I think the point is to track everything so I do. I even track my coffee, tea, water, diet…

  • Thank you. Some of us join for REAL reasons, like to create a life for ourselves. The majority of those in the Army treat it as it should. yes there are some people who use it as a Toy but they will quickly learn in boot camp how much of a toy it is not. And that will solve another of her issues, weight loss and eating…
