I have been in maintenance mode since Jan. you can add me but will say I disappear from time to time because of work schedule Additionally, I'm not big on working out. I like to walk the beach in Florida, but when in MA, it's random if I go for a walk. Over the last 10 months, I have had 2 small up ticks, but brought them…

I like to walk and when I use my heart monitor that gives me time in my zone and calories burned MFP is very close when I list how long and the speed I have walked. I know the miles I walk and track the time which gives me MPH.

Welcome and good luck. I found this was the 1 st thing I have tried where I saw consistent weight loss and have easily maintained it. I have had some people become motivated when seeing the change I have accomplished. I have a sit down job, and often work long hours. Im 5x in age. I do like to walk, but besides that not…

Hi Amy, This worked for me. Truly this tool works if you use it. The secret for me was to eat many times a day, eat the right foods. I still will have that milk and cookies once in awhile, or a beer. I have been able to maintain my goal weight since Jan. I can wear my 18 yr old daughters jeans now. I use this off and on…

I have always watched this show since the 1st season. It does inspire me. I was never under the impression it was a 3 month loss. It is 16 weeks on the ranch, then off the ranch for 3-4 months before final weigh in. Do I believe someone that is over 100 lbs over weight could drop 10 lbs in a week? Yes at the beginning of…

If I go for an energy drink I like Reliv 24K. No caffeine but you need to order it and have it shipped

I agree, just start again. Don't dwell on the slip, I think most do it. I have but I move forward. IMHO, my personality if I denied myself everything all the time, eventually I would binge. I would rather give in here and there a little bit than do that. You mentioned sugar cravings. I keep dark choc covered yogurt raisins…

This app will help. If you slip, just try the next day. I have had times where I gain lbs and what I learned was at this point in my life, my body really reacts badly to sodium. Now on y salads, it's vinegar and oil. No more dressings for me :( Bacon must be low sodium and still I'll see a sligHt up tick, but now I know…

I drink EAS protein each morning mixed in water with my morning coffee. Followed by fiber one or Cheerios and fruit. Apples and Almonds are a great snack to keep the hungry's away for me for mid morning snack so that salad or sandwich with avocado instead of mayo fills me up.

Using this app helped me. For 8 years I tried various diets...lose a few pounds and put them back on and then some. I have never been a food lover. I do t eat junk food besides Oreo cookies and milk once a day. The struggle I had at the beginning was eating enough calories to get my metabolism moving. It took some research…

I have been trying to figure out which HRM to get as well. Reading many reviews. Some say Polar others Timex Ironman. Both Mfg seem to have pros and cons. Good stories, bad stories. Anyone ever have the Timex Ironman. I'm leaning that way because you can replace the battery, where as, Polar you need to send it in for…

I used to struggle to get to 1200 calories a day. There are small foods you can eat that have many calories and are great foods. I started my mornings with a protein drink. It has 170 calories made with 8ozs. Of water. Protein 1 st thing in the morning kick starts metabolism too. A snack of whole almonds, 24/25 almonds 170…

I use Vibram too. Love them. I have a back hip due to my thigh bone being slightly twisted. Wearing regular sneakers, walking a lot gives me much pain. Being barefoot doesn't change the I step. As for the smell, they do make socks for them. Pricey, but would give them a longer life between washes. I haven't found it to be…

I have vibrams. Hot pink and orange. LOVE THEM. I started running after getting them. Oddly, I get lots of Oh those are cute, where did you get them comments.

MFP provides a base of calories a day. As you log in your exercise, it will subtract the calories consumed during your activity, providing you with net calories to eat for the day. Example 1000 to start without exercise, , exercise burned 500, total calories to at for the day 1500.

I see 2 sides to this. First being, the household grocery budget didn't already stock fruits and veggies for multiple meals a day, there is an increase in cost at first. My house has 5 people....all thin except me. The start up cost of 2 fruits a day, frozen or fresh veggies etc, absolutely increased the cost of foods in…

I had 3 children. First was c-section, last was in my mid 30's and until the age of 42 I had a tight tummy. It did take exercise and desire to get back in shape. I will Say I did carry that thicker skin feel from having kids.

Outstanding. You look wonderful and must be so proud. I bet you have inspired others along your journey.

I agree. Give it a couple weeks and stick to it. I had 3 down falls using this app helped me get over. I don't eat enough, so my metabolism was slow. I was a huge soda drinker about 3-4 cans a day, and since as far back as I remember I have had 6 Oreo cookies and milk after supper. Eating the right foods in the beginning…

This app has made me more aware of how my body is receiving certain things. For example, sodium is not kind to me. When I eat 3 strips of bacon, it will show on the scale the next day, as will chicken soup. Not just a pound or two either. I have seen as much a 4-5 pounds over night from eating something with allot of…
