Do what makes you happy.

Thanks Erin! I have and if I hadn't moved my goal down further, I'd be 12 lbs away. Now I am 32 lb but I will get there! :)
-
Interesting. I may try this.

Hopefully you find most of the support you need from close friends, family and mainly from within. Sure it is nice having friends and all but this is still the internet. At least I cannot imagine online support from a forum being on the same level as the friends and family in your life. I like to support others and I'm…

That is the way things go sometimes. I have been doing this for awhile and there are weeks where I have no progress on the scale. That doesn't mean you aren't making progress though. As long as you feel great and you can feel the progress, don't worry about the scale. It's just a number. Be strong and keep up the good…

I'm sorry for your loss. You sound like a very strong person and I am glad to hear you are getting on track.

MFP: 88 lbs Total: 132 lbs

There are a lot of people that need to be told the cold hard truth. With kids, I'd be more subtle and point out the adults not to be like.
-
Aww I will be your friend.

Giving up soda was the kick I needed to get started on my journey to a better life. ALL of my losses have come after I quit soda. I used to drink a few bottles/cans a day. I'm all about water now. I have made it almost 16 months without one now. There is nothing controversial about it. Soda is total garbage! My life is…

Good job. Being so close is very motivating. I can't wait until I am 10 lbs away from my goal.

You have to want it more than anything. You have to eat, sleep, and breathe it. Get up everyday, do the work and push yourself to points where you are uncomfortable. Work your butt off at the gym. Cardio and strength training go hand and hand. They compliment each other nicely. Then you go home and constantly research it,…

A better quality of life is any and all the motivation I need.

You know what, I think I will. It is worth another shot. I just worry about it being sustainable. I am not a veggie guy so I feel like that cuts out so many options when it comes to food. Most of my success has just come from hard work, proper clean diet and proper sleep. I have the book "The Paleo Diet" by Loren Cordain…

Welcome! A balanced diet, exercise and proper sleep is all you need to be successful!
-
I would advise against doing anything else until you do some research to educate yourself on proper diet.

I have a Polar FT80 that works great. There are a lot of different options so do your research and find one that fits you.
-
That's great that you not only enjoy paleo, but you've been successful on it. I wish I could build up the same enthusiasm about it. I eat fairly clean as it is but paleo has been a struggle at times for me. Maybe I should give it another go around...

LOL...my reading comprehension past midnight is non-existent. :) I hope you have a great night. :)
-
Nevermind. I just reread the OP and answered my own question. I think it's time to go to bed. :)

What do you have in mind for lowering your body fat? Are you training?
-
I eliminated soda and eating out. It changed my life.
-
So don't eat veggies. I hate veggies and have lost every single pound without eating them.
-
I have quite a few websites bookmarked if that counts.

You just have to put your head down and drive on. Tomorrow is another day. Be glad you did not settle down with someone so petty. He didn't appreciate you at your worst so he doesn't deserve you at your best. Use it as motivation to be the best person you can be. You have a fresh start so keep working hard, treat yourself…

Welcome! Army vet here, totally know where you are coming from. My transformation is finally getting people's attention, just not the ones I want.
