  • I bring my tablet with me whenever I workout. If I'm on a strength machine, I'm just listening to music, if I'm on a cardio machine I might watch netflix or something similar. I find it hard to really read when doing cardio unless I am doing a less intensive longer session. I find having something to distract me helps the…
  • I have a Fitbit Aria, which I love using. I love that it syncs automatically to both my fitbit account, and MFP. Provides motivation 2 ways, if you lose weight, it will show in your profile for others to see and comment on. Also, if you happen to gain weight, it will show that in your news feed as well. If you weigh and…
  • Interesting question. Kinda wanna search red tube for an instructional how to video. Hmm...might be more of a 4chan video.
  • I use both an Optimus G and my Nexus 7 for logging. My LGOG, rooted running lifeless rom works fine, but my Nexus 7, again rooted running CM 10.1 nightly no longer works. I believe this to be because MPF is coded to look for a rear camera but the device only has a front facing. Not to mention, with the N7, while there is a…
  • Yep, I'm definitely a guy. That sentence made absolutely no sense to me. :P
  • Before I got started with the exercise and diet, I was wearing a 44, I''m in a 38 now, and at the peak of my weight loss, I was almost in a 36. Don't think I could possibly go much further down than that, but I'd still love to get into the 36 and it fit properly!
  • I'm in VA, as northern as southern states go, I know. Feel free to add me, same goes to anyone else who reads this. XD
  • I sadly think I could outdo you on the oreos. Not that it would be my proudest moment, but I can put down some sweets. I could easily put down the whole package and the go "damn, who ate all the oreos" to anyone in the room. lawl

  • How do you mean the 8 cups a day is a joke? Do you think you should have more or less?
  • Add away if you wish, my dear. :) I know how the "sugar addiction" goes, I have one as well...hard to not try replacing the sweet with the salty tho. :(
  • I am more partial to HTC devices, however, between those two, I like the s3 better. Easier root process. This isn't XDA so I won't go all into that, but having a modern phone which is able to be easily rooted is a great advantage.
  • Me as well. From Spotsylvania, living in Fredericksburg now, not that there really is a difference anyway. :P
  • The vanilla almond Silk is really good. I love using it in cereal. For other things where a sweetened milk wouldn't really work, I use the regular Silk almond. The regular Silk(the soy one) I thought was gross, and couldn't even drink it. FYI, the So Delicious brand coconut milk isn't much better. It tastes like watery…
  • You had mentioned taking them at 10 minutes per mile, I read that as several 1 mile runs at 10 minutes. If you just meant that as your speed, and it's one consecutive 5 mile, please disregard what I said.
  • Like a lot of other people have said, you would do better to do a longer workout versus several shorter ones.
  • I log everything everyday. Sometimes I might grab something and forget to add it, but I never intentionally skip something. I feel like not logging something will only hurt my success, and I like being able to look back and see what I have been eating and how I have been working out to judge my performance.
  • I had never thought about making my own bars before. I might have to give that a try since they are so expensive.
  • It depends on what type of workout I am doing. Typically I do 60-90 minutes of cardio, 25 minutes of strength training, and 20-30 minutes of steam room/sauna.
  • I've done a little research on the new Fitbit One, and from what I have found there aren't any real tracking differences. The one is supposed to be more comfortable and easier to wear. Also, you can directly sync the Fitbit to your device via bluetooth. However, you can only use the new direct sync on low energy Bluetooth…
  • Absolute congratulations. From what it sounds like, I have been in your shoes and I know how amazing it feels to see the improvements in yourself. Keep it up, no matter how hard things get, keep it up. You will be a happier person in the long run for it.
  • It happens. It's just another challenge for you to work through. Don't think of it as a setback, think of it as a way to keep you motivated. When I gain a few pounds I look at it as "3 pounds?!...I don't think so" and work that much harder to take it back off. Before you know the 3 are gone as well as a few others.
