EVERYONE should Happy Dance with her! (It burns lots of calories! ) Seriously though, congrats on all the hard work! Keep it up and you'll be in ONEderland before you know it!:flowerforyou:

Once slice of pizza won't kill you. You should try to limit the frequency of those slices, though! I usually pack my own lunch and take it with me. If you have a fridge handy, just stash it in there. If not, they do make ice packs to fit in lunch bags now. Baby carrots, fruit (strawberries, grapes, apples especially) are…

You go girl! I'm so glad things are going well for you! (I do have to say that living in the country can be very nice! ) Keep working and you'll get there!

{I'm his wife:wink: } The biggest time for the pictures to not pick up his loss is when he isn't wearing clothes that fit. When he's in his old shirts and such, it is MUCH harder to tell than when he is in his newer clothes that actually fit. That is something else to consider. If the outfit you were wearing doesn't fit…

Something else to consider is the benefit of watching your potassium also. Potassium helps your body get rid of excess sodium. (I'm not exactly clear on how it works, I even asked the Bio teacher at work to explain it to me, but I STILL didn't understand:ohwell: ) A while after I started tracking my sodium, I started…

NO GUILT!!!! :flowerforyou: This is a lifestyle change, NOT a diet! If you lose the weight deating ONLY diet dinners, and never figure out how to eat food everyone else is eating, then once you stop eating the diet dinners you will struggle to maintain. DH and I still have the same stuff we've always eaten. But now we are…

My aunt always told us that lack of PB in the diet is what makes people cranky! Just be careful of eating it when you haven't accounted for it! (I can't offer much help with THAT until I get it under control, also:blushing: )

I love "hamburger pie" (aka "shephard's pie"). You brown the ground beef, add in onions (I always use minced onion, but fresh is good), a can of tomato soup (I've been known to use a can of tomato paste and a can of tomato sauce), and a can of green beans (drained, or about 2 cups fresh; you can also used mixed veggies,…

I basically do the same. I try to make each meal 1/4 of my allotted calories. So that's 3/4 for my meals and the other 1/4 is for my snacks.

Everything that's been mentioned is quite true. (This topic rolls around about every 3 to 6 months:happy: ) Another thing to consider, Mike and Al get $$$ (to help keep the site FREE) every time someone clicks on an ad from this site. Blocking the ads may help you not be tempted, but it does NOT help the bottom line for…

One thing you can do is enter your recipe on here and put that it makes 1 serving. Then you can enter the fraction of the whole that you had. Or (and this is what I usually do) you can do the above, but don't save or finish it yet. Then during dinner, DH and I use a measuring cup rather than a serving spoon to dish it up.…

That is SO my luck! I'm sorry it happened to you, but I'm glad you found out and could get it taken care of!

I agree with Azdak. For longer, and more detailed explanation (that says the same thing!) check out this thread: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/117060-water-weight-explained-a-bit Keep at it, and your body will adjust and you'll lose the water that you don't need.

There are quite a few nursing moms on here. You might try searching the boards (use the search function at the top of the thread) for other women who've posted their questions and ideas. One of them might be able to help you. What I've seen others do, is add nursing as an exercise. When you add an exercise, it will ask for…

This is what I have heard. There was a recent discussion about this with vegetables recently. Jamie Oliver talked about it on "Food Revolution" and this is the reasoning he used.

It has been exactly a year since I joined. I have learned many things. Some of the top ones are 1) a portion is NOT what you think! A food scale is a real eye opener. 2) Sodium and I do NOT get along. 3) Potassium helps your body get rid of excess sodium. 4) Eating is GOOD! If you don't eat enough, you will lose weight…

On Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution that was on awhile back, he actually talked about how frozen veggies have more nutrients than the fresh ones that you buy in the grocery store. He did say that fresh from a farmers' market or your own garden were best. His reasoning was that the frozen ones were allowed to naturally ripen…

If you're hungry, eat some of them. You don't have to eat ALL of them if you don't feel comfortable doing that. On the other hand, if you are hungry, light headed, etc, EAT! That is your body trying to tell you it needs food, so give it! If you're not hungry right now, but get hungry later, or even first thing tomorrow…

Here is a website that gives some tips on eating healthy for kids: http://www.mypyramid.gov/kids/index.html On there is a place where they give suggestions for menus, "MyPyramid Plan" gives you an idea of how much of which kinds of food kids should be eating, and there are games and coloring pages you can print off.

I started my journey about this time last summer. Throughout the school year last year, I would take the first 30-45 minutes when we got home to work out. I was doing the Wii Fit Free Step for 30 minutes because I could start my exercise and then switch over to a show for my kids while I did it. *Please don't get on me for…
