The incredible shrinking woman! you look fantastic!

Sex: Female Gender: Female (yes there is a difference) SW: 245 SS (starting size): 16-18 CW: 203 CS (current size): 12-14 GW: 165 GS (goal size):8-10 I make the weight/size distinction because I have always been heavier than I've looked, however now that I'm heavy lifting I am focusing more on my size than my weight. I am…

Awesome! I'm a little bigger than where you were from the beginning but I've already been on a major plateau from cardio and cutting back on food, so I'm hoping NROL4W will be my salvation...

I have seasonal affective disorder, and I can say that I DEFINITELY was much less willing to have sex when I was extremely self conscious after having gained a lot of weight. I was 240ish and even though my fiance thought I was beautiful, I sure did not. I'm down to about 203 now, and I'm okay with my body. I don't love…

CONGRATS! Glad you are well and still logging!
-
That's really inventive! How do you know the weight of the logs you use? Do you have progress pics?

I'm sure people are going to take issue with this, and its still carbs as opposed to something healthy, but Lay's Light (made with Olean) are fat free and 75 calories/oz rather than 150-200/oz like most chips. No, its not ideal, but its still good.

Bumping this for more motivation! I'm in week 3 (just finished workout B 3rd x) and I already feel better, down a half inch in my hips/spare tire. Can't wait for more! Ladies who are done/later in the program show me your before & after/during!

If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? You look so much younger now!

Thanks! I look forward to future success posts :)

I just posted this in another thread, so I'll repost: I unfortunately didn't take "befores" and at my heaviest I avoided having pictures taken at all cost... That said I managed to find one picture where I was in the background and it was very dark...lol. For reference, I'm about 5'8". Here's my journey so far: I started…

Thanks :) I just started doing heavy lifting in the last 2 weeks (NROL4W) as a response to what I've been perceiving as an 8 month plateau, but prior I was mostly doing cardio and some reasonably high rep, mid-light weight lifting.

This http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/912920-in-place-of-a-road-map-3-2013 explains everything.

I don't care if you were 4'8" and weight 300 pounds, anyone who would say something like that to someone is deranged and hateful.
-
Just started The New Rules of Lifting for Women, and I love it so far.

19 when I answered it for how I feel now, 58 when I answered it how I would have before I started losing weight. While going from 240 to 203 probably doesn't seem like a ton, apparently it has made a huge difference for me! I hated my body back then. Now I'm totally cool with my body, but I'm still working on loving it.

if you have access to a gym/olympic weights, the best way to increase your muscle (which continues burning fat for hours after you're done lifting) is to lift heavy weights in short reps, 15 or so. The weight you chose should be heavy enough that by the 15th rep you feel like you can't physically do another one (going to…

Eat more. I have a similar story (dropped 30 lbs over three months, haven't really had more than 5 lbs lost in the last 6 months). I was eating 900-1200 calories/day working out 4-6 times/week cardio and light weight, many reps. Everyone on MFP told me to increase my calorie intake. Your TDEE (total day energy expenditure)…

New rules of lifting!

I've been hovering at 205 forever! Can't wait to say that myself. Congrats!

Tofurkey is delicious, but its not terribly cheap. Vegetarian refried beans (homemade wrap) is good too. Side dish= low fat/ fat free cottage cheese with stevia & berries. 30g protein/cup!

start- 205.6 CW- 205 -.6

Height: 5'8" Age/Gender: 27/ Female Highest weight- 240 Current Weight- 205 lbs Current body fat - 32% Lowest weight- since the end of puberty? probably 160 Goal weigh- 170 lbs (but I could settle for more if I'm in the 20-27% BF range)

I ask because I had an initial loss of 30 lbs over 3 months when I committed to a new lifestyle, but since then I have only lost about 5 lbs (since Sept), but I have a significant size difference. I would also reccommend you change up how/what you're eating (are you eating 13-1600 calories of junk?) and/or make sure there…

Have you taken any pictures and/or measurements? You may have not lost weight but possibly size?

recently I've heard a lot of touting the New rules of lifting for women, so I ordered it, but I haven't gotten it yet. You also may want to check on bodybuilding.com, there's a program that's for both genders and you just adjust the weight based on whats doable, its 4 days on 3 days off (though I'll probably doing at least…

I tried one of those professional wrap, it did help with a slight bit of firmness, but I don't think it was permanent. Also, I cant say for certain, but the cream stuff definitely smelled like tea tree oil.

Make sure the entire time you're drinking LOTS of water (upwards of 64 oz/day), do strength training (not just cardio) and cocoa butter daily!
