I recommend that you keep ONE outfit from the old you. If you become complacent or start to get discouraged there is nothing like trying on the old sized clothes to get you refocused!

I think its time for a new profile pic Sue. You are not that woman any more.
-
Yeah!!!! God it truly good.

Thanks everyone! I have tried it in cold things such as dips (which I liked) but wasn't sure about cooking with it.

I'm 6 feet tall. And 50 years old! Starting weight was 318. Current weight is 189. So though I'm not quite to goal I'm only five pounds from a healthy weight! Beg, borrow or steal the money to invest in a fitbit. Just seeing the numbers makes me move my *kitten* more. Don't deprive yourself of anything--just fit it in. Log…

For me, its a wording issue. If he had said "you are morbidly obese" I would have been hurt and or offended. I knew already I was but said like that it would have stung. If he said "your weight falls into the morbidly obese range" I would have been more receptive to hearing it. One sounds like a personal label and the…

Congratulations! Its an awesome feeling isn't it? I rediscovered Onederland after 30 years just last month.
-
I never thought about it. I got up every morning and said today I am going to eat right and move my *kitten* more. I didn't think about tomorrow or next week or next month. Just that day. And the days just kept adding up and the pounds just kept coming off. Now I'm just over 10 pounds to a healthy weight.

For the person who said the fitbit didn't capture on the bike............try it in your sock. I have friends who say that works wonders on a bike.
-
You can synch. Is under apps. I've been using the fitbit since Jul 2012. It works.

Green olives right out of the jar! Yum. Black olives only when mixed in food, not just to eat plain.

120 pounds down and only cardio. I walk and I walk and I walk, and then when I'm done I walk some more.
-
Shhhhhhhhh, if walking isn't exercise please don't tell my scale! I've gone from a size 26 to a size 16, from morbidly obese to 15 pounds away from a healthy weight and walking is my primary exercise. I've logged more than 1000 miles of walking since I began in July 2012.
-
I have gone from morbidly obese to just plain overweight. I'm 17 pounds from healthy! I rejoiced everytime I changed 'catagories'. Congrats to you!
-
Have had several friends who have had a lost fitbit replaced free of charge. Good Luck

I once weighed 320 pounds. I ate right, exercised and got down to around 215. My goal was 180. Twenty five years later I weighed 318. I am eating right, exercising and now at 203. My goal is 185. I can't even blame an illness. I just stopped caring. No, its not easy, but you can do it. You just have to want to.
-
18.5 pounds from my goal. 114.5 pounds closer than I was last July. Actually thinking of revamping the goal when I get there. I initially set it for the top of my 'healthy' weight range but I will reassess when I get there.

I got tired of the dubious looks when people heard that I just eat less and move more so now I tell them it was crack cocaine and wild sex. They laugh and then are more open to the truth.
-
One of my happiest days was weighing in and realizing I was now just plain old ordinary overweight. I started this at morbidly obese. Now I'm 20 pounds from HEALTHY!
-
I weighed 318 pounds when I didn't think about what I ate. I eat healthier and I move more. As a result I have gone from Morbidly Obese to just plain overweight on my way to a healthy BMI and weight. If that is an eating disorder then bring it on! I'm not starving myself or binging and my health is steadily improving.
-
You ladies CAN do this. I started in the 300's. 318. I'm currently 205.5 with 185 as my goal weight. I'm fifty years old and 6 feet tall. I don't do anything extreme I just eat less and move more. Keep plugging away at it EVERY day and you will get out of those 2's. I've gone from a size 26 to a size 16 which is almost…

I started at 318. I was morbidly obese. Then I was just obese. After that I moved on to overweight. I'm currently just 21 pounds to a HEALTHY weight. I never had any health issues because of the weight but the clock was ticking, they were bound to come. Eat less and move more. Every day. Its that simple. Don't get into any…

I am with everyone else. Do not focus on the finish line. Focus instead on today. Eat right and move more today. If you do that every day before you know it you will find yourself within site of the the goal. I started in July 2012 with 133 pounds to lose. I'm now 23 pounds from my goal and actually thinking of lowering my…

I too am 6 feet tall. I currently weigh just under your start weight (217.5 down from 318) and I have to say that you look better starting out than I do now! Congrats to you and personally I don't think you need to lose any more, you look great.

1968 Ford Thunderbird with suicide doors. Loved that car and wish I still had it.

I think I've gotten all the left handed comments..... On a related note" When people finally started commenting and asking what I was doing they seemed so sad and disappointed when I said 'eating less and moving more' that I came up with a new more exciting answer for them. I tell them it's crack cocaine and wild sex. Gets…

6' even.
-
I log EVERYTHING! What is the point of not logging? Is it like 'if no one sees me eat it, it doesn't count" mentality? Almost everyone who knows me would have sworn I hardly ever ate and yet I was morbidly obese, Go figure.

It seemed very optimistic to me so I kept a journal. And lo and behold, it was pretty accurate as long as I stayed very much 'like today'. Try writing down what it says on a average day for you, make a note of when 5 weeks is up and check it.
