  • Add me to the bra wearers. Mine is clipped on the front in my cleavage. Has been since July. Love my fitbit!
  • Fitbit Ultra. I've had it since July. I use it every single day. I've never lost it. That being said.... It is important to know what you want to do with it. If you do a lot of exercising which doesn't include stepping, you might be happier with the Bodymedia. For walking, jogging, treadmilling, etc Fitbit is great.
  • 61.5 pounds in 145 days.
  • I belonged to an exercise group last time I lost a lot of weight that you had to be at least 50 pounds overweight to join. It was WONDERFUL because you were not judged. You didn't have to quit when you lost the weight, you just had to have been overweight at the time of joining. I went from 300 to 212 in that group. 184…
  • I pace in my house when talking on the phone. I can get a mile in very easily and I only have 15 steps in one direction before I have to turn around and walk back. I feel foolish doing it but every step helps! I have stairs I can climb as well but the knees don't like going down the stairs so I find it more advantageous to…
  • Stayed well under. I don't feel at all deprived....I even had pumpkin pie. Still full some 6 hours later! I had taken a 2.25 mile walk this am but didn't even need those calories.
  • Six feet tall, large frame. Goal is 185.
  • It JUST happened for me on Sunday. I've had a few people ask if I have lost weight but I wanted someone, anyone, to notice with an exclamation point. Wow! You've lost weight! I was 36% of my weight gone, 2 sizes smaller and 46.5 pounds lost before I got it. I might not get it again but it sure did feel good! Hang in there…
  • Sadly, you got your fitbit at a time when fitbit is having HUGE technical issues. I've never had so many issues with the synching etc. as I've had in the last two weeks. Fitbit does not register a twitch as a step. It actually is extremely accurate at counting steps. You can't over think it. You just have to clip it on and…
  • I'm 50 and have lost 46.5 of 133 so far. Not quite what you asked for, but pretty darn close! I eat between 1250-1500 a day. It has been 106 days. I do not go to the gym. I do not eat exercise calories. I walk. A lot. I agree with an earlier poster that the secret is really in moving more every single day, All DAY LONG. I…
  • Congrats! Love the picture of you and (I assume) your daughter in your old pants! I would hang that picture on my bedroom mirror to remind me every day of how far I have come! Good luck with that last stubborn 10!
  • Bought myself an IPOD shuffle today for reaching 40.
  • I eat all food groups....even have a Wendy's burger from time to time. I am down over 40 pounds. I don't really think there is a science to this......as long as you use more calories a day than you consume you will eventually lose weight.
  • Do you track your measurements? Sometimes even though the scale doesn't change you will lose inches which helps keep motivation strong. When I want to give up I go and put together a bunch of pet food bags until they weigh what I lost (I work in a retail store before they open for business!) then visualize just how much…
  • Never downplay your progress! My first walk lasted 12 minutes and wore me out. Now I'm barely beginning when I get to that point and I remember every time that this is how far I made it the first time, the second time, etc. I'm up to 1.87 miles now. That first walk was .5 !
  • I'm a daily weigher. I need the accountablity and I know not to get discouraged over a slight increase as it is usually gone by the next day!
  • A few chocolate exlax brownies will reveal the thief........
  • If it crosses my lips....it gets logged. Keeps me accountable and also helps me keep track of my nutrition. So far it is working fine. 39.5 pounds in 85 days.
  • My mom does weight watchers and loves it. I think it is crazy. here is why. If three Newton Thins are 3 points....shouldn't 2 be two points? No, still 3. Same with bacon. C'mon if I have a bacon craving and have ONE piece and it is going to charge me 3 points anyway....I'm eating three. Now I've just taken in extra fat and…
  • I couldn't wait to wean myself from that nasty drug. It did not help my anxiety and has HORRID side effects if you are late or miss a day. I too was on Lexapro first. It took a long time after I finally got off that drug for the brain zaps to stop! Hard to wean off of too. I currently am drug free. Anxiety attacks were…
  • 512 and 38 is 550!
  • I started this journey at the end of July with 133 to lose. I'm 38.5 pounds closer to my goal already! Try to friend some people with as much to lose or more than you do. I find it helpful because they truly understand that increasing my daily walk from 20 minutes to 25 minutes IS a big deal! Good Luck!
  • If you have spots left....I'd like to be included!
  • I do not have high BP however I track my sodium because I swell very badly if I have too much. My ankles grow by about 2 inches. I didn't realize the connection until I started MFP. All the swelling disappeared after two days and only begins to puff up again on days I approach the 2500 mark for sodium.
  • You even had to move your ring to another finger! Fantastic!
  • Fantastic results!
  • I recently CELEBRATED being obese. It beat the hell out of MORBIDLY obese. I can't wait until I'm just plain old ordinary OVERWEIGHT! Congrats!
  • I quit cold turkey 1 year 2 months and 24 days ago. I used to smoke about 14 cigarettes a day and paid $7.50 a pack back when I quit. When I had been quit 10 months I had saved enough to buy an entire bedroom set for my grandson and still have money left over. My father died of lung cancer. I picked the first anniversary…
  • I agree that it was smaller than I thought. I bought two at the end of July. One was a gift for my daughter. We have never taken them off except for showers! Seeing the calories my walking burns inspires me to keep going! I find I don't get discouraged if the scale doesn't move because I can see on the fitbit site that my…
