  • My latest little victory was being able to maintain my weight, while enjoying some holiday goodies. I really wasn't trying to but it happened.
  • excellent....over the moon feeling is amazing. keep up the good work
  • My highest was 345, currently at 293. Still have lots of work ahead of me. Yes it can be discouraging to think how far I still have to go, but think of the pay off once you get there. Enjoy the things you haven't been able to enjoy. With the progress, it seems like every week there is something new to enjoy. I went from…
  • bump, gonna make this, this weekend. Thanks
  • I will be one logging. Matter of fact I have just about got Thanksgiving day already finished and logged. I feel if I set limits I can still enjoy what I want, just be smart and portion control. With the weather going to be so nice on turkey day, the kids and i are going to take a nice long walk while the bird is cooking.…
  • The only time I ever had pain shortly after having gallbladder removed was when I ate something greasy, spicy, or drank mt dew....Good luck figuring this out. And I hope you will find something that works to relieve the pain.
  • So excited to try this.....haven't had monkey bread in years. It was a childhood favorite.
  • Ultimately myself. But also for hubs, the kids, and my grand babies (the ones i have now and the future ones).
  • This year I will be logging every single drop of anything that gets passed my lips. But it's easier because I'm making all the food myself, and can control what goes into each dish. This is the only good part of not going to families houses on the holidays. I think while the babes watch the Macy's parade, I will sneak in a…
  • I'm currently doing 30 day shred. When I first started it I weighed in at just under 300 lbs. It is one butt kicking workout. I alternate between the shred and biggest loser. Can't wait to see the results at the first of the year.
  • could always learn to reload and learn to cast your own bullets....my hubby finds this practice not only money saving but stress relieving.
  • I have read somewhere, of course can't remember where, that it takes 2 years after a massive weight loss for the skin to shrink down. With the goal of 200 pounds to lose I try not to think about what my skin is going to look like when I'm closer to my goal. I'm afraid if I dwell on that then I will lose motivation and go…
  • I plan to enjoy my holidays. After all they are only 2 days in 2 months. I'm not going to go out and splurge for a week. So what can 1 day hurt. Just workout a little harder and don't stress. I have noticed personally when I'm stressed I tend to gain a little weight.....and feel bloated so this year I'm going stress free.
  • I weigh everyday in the morning, before eating or drinking anything. I log my weight every Wednesday. I just like to motivation the scale gives me. I also measure monthly. And I take pictures monthly too. Sometimes the numbers are great but actually seeing it in my body image is even better.
  • Agree....I usually spend right around 100 a week and cook enough to feed 6 daily. Hubby uses the leftovers for lunch at work, or we use it for lunch at home, sometimes we freeze the leftovers for another meal the following week. We only eat beef like once a month. It's hard to budget and stay on budget when the cost of…
  • We are taking our holiday approach different this year. Our menu consists of: Roast Beef Brown Rice (my newest addiction) Sweet Potato Brulee Roasted Green Beans or some kind of carrots Cranberry Pear sauce and for dessert, my first time ever making this Pumpkin Roll and it's a light version I think that is pretty much it.
  • I'm in....definately don't want to miss out on this opportunity.
  • When going to parties or holiday meals, two good things to remember that is a must do. One drink lots of water, and eat a big salad before going to the party or meal. The salad and a good amount of water will help fill you up on healthy things so that you can only enjoy a little of the not so good for you things. We are…
  • I am a former cutter....I managed to stop when I found a doctor I could actually talk to, he sent me to an amazing counselor. It took me talking to both on a regular basis as well as managing my other mental health issues with medication. Don't let the counselor idea scare you. Yes it's scarey at first but you can totally…
  • Hi and welcome. I have found what has worked for me is don't make all changes at once. I agree with alanakerr01 find something that is viable and not so impossible. My biggest struggle when I first started was trying to eat clean 100% of the time. Know that you can eat whatever you want really as long as you learn portion…
  • Not sure how much it will take to see a difference in clothing size. I have lost 40 pounds already and still in the same size clothes. But of course I like my clothes a little baggy. Can't wait to actually buy smaller clothes.
  • When I get a sweet tooth I eat frozen grapes....or any fruit for that. But sometimes if I get ice cream I eat Edy's slow churned....and it's yummy
  • this was a great read.....i've lost a human leg....needed this laugh
  • This got me really thinking. my list: Make it to the end of the race for the cure 5k....in the spring be able to get down on the floor and play with my grandbabies see my younger children graduate, get married, and have kids just live, without feeling like I have to question just about everything. or worrying about if i…
  • I started at 345....now i'm down to 305 ish.....still have a fair bit to lose but am willing and looking for new friends with similar goals.
  • Ok so I may not have been at this very long but in the short time I have been having a go at this I have found what works best for me is: drink lots of water, water is my primary drink anymore. Eat what I want, but control the portions. Also I don't eat any fast food anymore, I make dinner every single night and I tend to…
  • Found a yummy dessert recipe for the crock: 4 large baking apples 1 tbsp lemon juice 1/3 cup chopped dried apricots 1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans 3 tbsp packed light brown sugar 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 2 tbsp melted butter or margarine Scoop out center of each apple. Mix apricots, nuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a…

  • nsv is a non scale victory.... My nsv today was being able to put my socks on just by bending over....I didn't have to sit sideways on the couch and pull my foot up. Big nsv! haven't been able to reach my feet in ages.
