Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and opinions, all very helpful. I have now done the 16:8 twice in the week, found it very easy but not sure if there is any benefit to doing a 16:8 twice a week or if that particular one has to be an every day thing. I may now next week try 24hrs fasting see how that goes and if I'm…
-
When you say 16:8 full time...do you mean doing that every single day of the week ?
-
I was thinking of doing either the 16:8 or 24hrs twice a week. Tho maybe 24hrs is too much
-
lol good tactics

Not started swimming yet, I'm starting this month
-
Thats exactly what I did do! At least now I know why lol. Won't be using emoji anymore. Cheers for letting me know honey
-
I'm also starting swimming again been years since I done that. And.....today I've just joined a Gym so I can start working out with weights. I'm in England, UK. Yes still cold and horrible here
-
What is wrong with these boards on mfp today they are only posting parts of my messages......
-
I'm also starting swimming

No honey.... exercise if anything has been a lot less due to the dental surgery and extremely painful legs. Just haven't been able to exercise every day like I would normally . So for me that result came after more calories and less exercise. I'm going to try my best tho this month to get back to exercise every single day…

Thanks guys. The only thing I done different was up my calories from 1200 to 1600 and I've started losing weight again, quire a considerable amount . Health wise no further on at the minute, my appointment was cancelled due to both nurses being off sick, so now getting bloods rechecked on 6th March then appointment a week…

Hi Everyone As promised it's March and I'm reporting in. I only weigh myself once a month on the 1st every month. Today I'm happy to report I've lost 9lbs

I have that book! It's a bit long but good info. Mike Matthews also has a YouTube and podcast- excellent information!! He kinda loves to hear himself talk but his advice is sound.
Cheers honey I will check him out on you tube...not literally of course...happily married me

Bought this book

Again, I recommend "Thinner Leaner Stronger" or something similar to educate yourself properly.
I ordered this book, have just started reading it now, looks very good.

Yes same here...I had to take these disgusting oil caplet things, think they were 20,000iu, once a week for 6 weeks, then a week after taking the last one start on these 800iu tablets, which yes is what they consider a long term maintenance, but my levels just keep dropping again. Anyway...will see what happens after next…

OMG.....REALLY!!!! So yet again I think I'm getting on top of things and still it isn't right. I took that calorie total from MFP data Base!....(which yeah has all different calories totals), so how on earth do you actually 100% know what one is right???, how does anyone know for sure what one is actually right, even…

Sorry you've lost me now. I have read everything you've had to say and tried to take it all on board, and have made some changes. Diary is definitely much tighter and more accurate now. But.... What excuses am I supposedly making and what am I blaming. I make no excuses for anything and the only thing I've blamed for my…

Thank you everyone for telling me (and showing me) higher doses of B12 + D, this may well be why I am struggling every single day, everything is a real effort and I do mean everything. I will be taking all this information to my Doctor and hopefully getting me sorted. Can I just ask tho....those of you who have spoke…
-
With regards to the VitD...Maybe this explains why I'm still struggling so much and still tired, weak, no energy, my bones/muscles/body aches from top to bottom. I struggle from day to day. The B12 I've never been offered anything else other than an injection every 10 weeks, I wasn't aware there was any other options. I've…

Yip I'm 17st 2lbs (240lbs) I was eating 1200 calories, not sedentary, exercising every day and not losing 1.5lbs in a month never mind in a week. If maintenance is 2000 calories for me and I was no where near that.....still begs the question why a woman my size hasn't been dropping weight for quite some time now.
-
You know a few people have mentioned about my muscles, sore muscles, fluid retention in muscles, etc etc. I know absolutely nothing about all this all I do know is.... The ache in my leg muscles especially my calves verges somewhere between uncomfortable and painful, (I've been putting this down to VitD and B12 deficiency…

Thats exactly what I was doing before today. Then when I Drained it and weighed found out I'm not having 172 calories I'm actually having 55. A lot less than I thought
-
Yes it's in Grapefruit juice and I always drain all the juice off then just eat the grapefruit
-
I went through the food database here on MFP to see what others were entering for grapefruit and it would appear to be right that 171g of grapefruit is around 55 calories.
-
OK on the tin it says..... 540g Net Drained Weight 290g So on the nutrion label I went by the per 100g Drained values which says - Per 100g = 32 Calories I had 171g = 55 Calories
-
Exactly what I thought.....hence why I was so shocked. Wish I could put a photo on here of the label so you can look at it, but doesn't appear to be a way to do that.
-
OK so here is my first shock of tightening up my diary and being more accurate. I had a tin of grapefruit Salad this morning,(you will see this in my diary a few times) I normally add it to my diary by what it says on the tin. 1 Tin = 172 calories (that's what I've always entered) Today I put a bowl on my digital kitchen…

Sounds interesting......have just joined

Just to recap today..... I do now after speaking with many people find it hard to believe eating 1200 calories could possibly be my maintenance level, not with how big I am, I also believe that someone of my weight (240lbs) has to eat more than that. If my maintenance was 1200 I'd have a real problem as my weight comes…
