  • I switched to smaller bowls and plates. Most of my feeling of satisfaction with a meal is emotional, visual. I also use more seasoning, herbs and spice, especially chilies to make the smaller portions more satisfying. :drinker: :flowerforyou:
  • Nothing beats eating a healthy balance of foods. When you treat yourself to 5-7 servings of fruits and veggies each day, your body will natually "cleanse" your GI tract. I don't trust anything that sounds "too good to be true", because it usually isn't true. Save your cash for the Farmers' Market. :flowerforyou:
  • You are blessed to be able to recognize the urge to overeat, and to take the time to deal in a healthier way. I use yoga breathing to help reduce anxiety in general. Just a few mindful, deep, slow breaths do the trick for me. ::happy:
  • I suggest a visit to the butchers' counter at the nearest super market. Ask the butcher to show you a four pound piece of meat. Heft a four pound unsliced slab of bacon. Four pounds is quite a bit, isn't it. You've accomplished a real loss of weight, girlfriend.
  • I was sitting ringside at a major dog show, when my nylon folding chair ripped and collapsed. I had exceeded the weight limit for the chair. Luckily, my dog and handler won, so I had a good reason to get to my feet to applaud.
