That is incredible! Great work!

I agree with Natini. I gained about 4 pounds and lost about 6 inches in Stage 1 eating at the book's recommended maintenance calories. By the time I finished Stage 3, I lost the weight I gained, plus about 10 inches overall - BUT I also gradually cut about 300 calories from my diet. I realized that the deficit (fat loss)…

Thanks for the feedback. A trainer is probably a good investment at this point. Almost 4 months into lifting now and not planning on stopping any time soon. :)

Boom. ETA OMG so big. But yeah, that's how big they are.

Excellent story. Fantastic success! And great writing! My favorite parts:

I am eating baby carrots at work RIGHT NOW! With some hummus, a tasty 100 calorie treat.

Ha! This. ETA - this was supposed to be quoting the David Byrne-y one.

You might try putting this query on http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/10067-eat-train-progress. They provide this kind of feedback all the time and are strength-training/body fat/inches-minded rather than sheer weight loss. They helped me realize that I was eating too much. I know that sounds like a no-brainer, but…

Wow, awesome!

I spent the first stage eating at maintenance and I gained some muscle and lost some body fat, but the scale went up. I didn't love that. At stage 2 and 3 I dropped down to closer to what the book recommends for fat loss, and try to keep my macros as 30% fat, 30% protein, 40% carbs. I have lost the weight I gained when I…

Awesome!

Nice work! I definitely see that gun forming! :)

Rockin'. Almost more inspiring than the transformation is the consistency and stick-with-it attitude you have. I'm sure you have had plateaus, stalls and otherwise stupid days/weeks/months(?) where you were frustrated with progress. 18 months or consistency looks good on you! I'll keep it in mind during my boo hoo moments.…

Hey all! Just checking up on this thread before starting Stage 4 on 7/9. I am looking forward to getting back to these exercises and continuing to build my pushups - that was probably my proudest achievement of Stage 2. I don't think I had ever done a full push up until this program. Not looking forward to the planks. They…

Lifting looks good on you :) Good job!

Thanks ya'll! I love watching the progress of those a little before me in the program. I'm a total convert to lifting and love this community!

That is such a great story! I want to share it with my dad. I worry about him and want him around for a long, long time. You are very inspiring :) Keep up the good work and healthy, long lifestyle.

Hello there. Just wanted to check in. Followed your advice and cut calories. Last week average intake was 1780, although macros were a bit off as I adjusted to less food. This week is better with an average intake so far at 1802 and macros closer to where I want them to be. And guess what? I lost a pound last week. This…

Awesome! You look healthier and happier!

Thanks for the reply. I must admit, it hurts to hear, but my goal in reaching out was to get rid of any denial in my head about where I'm at. I see tiny buff gals eating 2100 calories all over this site, and was hoping that would work for me too. I hope that if folks can lose weight on ice cream and poptarts, I can lose…

I don't see the pictures either but fantastic gains and losses here! You are already in great shape so I think it's just a matter of fine tuning, which I would say is going very successfully for you! I love flexing now too :) Rock on, sister.

Bumping for 48 hours. Any thoughts?

I bet you feel great! You look fantastic :)

NICE JOB to all of this! Yay weight loss! Yay strength gains! Yay working out your nutrition! You inspire me with your weights especially..I just did 3A2 and I didn't think I could hate BW matrix any more than the first time I did it. I can't believe you did HIIT after that! Anyway, congrats :flowerforyou:

I should read these threads before I start my workouts! The BSS vs. lunge question has just been solved for me, when I have only 3 more workouts to go in this! Oh well, I'll do them correctly today :)
-
That's really incredible - you look fantastic! So inspiring for me, and your story helps put things in perspective - two years is super gradual, but permanent! Happy for your success :)

I tried to use that calculation at first too, but thought it was too low. The range was 1670 on non-workout days and 1933 on workout days. It contributed to my initial confusion about how much to eat. Based on the advice found on the boards, I ate at an average of what Scooby's calculator and the heybales worksheet said…

WOW! Seriously incredible :) Great work.
