The inch worm move is a walk-out plank basically.

Yup, 4 lb deadlifts. I am just getting back to strength training after a back injury and a c-section. I'm just looking for insight on how to best track this for balancing calories correctly.

Yes!

Everything looks tighter, and the side shots are most noticeable to me. Good job! You should feel wonderful about the work you put in - it shows! :)

That's really awesome! Nice work :)

Even though it's a pain, I would suggest counting the marinade separately from the chicken and other ingredients. Create a separate recipe if that much is left over, or next time, adjust the amounts for the marinade ingredients until it's just right. Measure by tablespoon/cup what you pour into the bag (or however you are…

HA! Hahahaha. Thanks for this.

Sometimes you actually come and look at your own results pictures for motivation! HA! Going to the gym tonight for some heavy lifting! Progress takes time, but it's sooooo worth it.

Scientific research released last year indicates a new reason for why people gain weight after smoking. It's not only about dietary changes or metabolism, according to these studies. The flora of your intestinal track changes. I found this information on numerous sites, not just this one. Thought it might be interesting to…

Just to weigh in here, I completed the entire program for New Rules, and saw great success. I am now doing 5x5 after a few months off lifting and I LOVE how straightforward and still challenging it is. I might get bored eventually, but I'm only lifting once a week right now. I think both programs have value, but I think…

Awesome thread! I've found a lot of what everyone else said to be totally true - better at running, opening jars and bottles with ease, walking confidently in heels (this was a BIG one for me!!), and reducing cellulite. Also, boosting confidence, big time. It's improved my yoga practice in some ways (and made it harder in…

Congratulations! This program will allow you to blow your own mind with how much strength you possess. Getting going can be tough, and there are those first workouts where you do an exercise, think "that was weird" or felt a little funny, then get home and google and you realize you did it completely wrong! I liked to do a…

Thank you! I ordered it yesterday for rush delivery, so it should arrive today. Is anyone interested in starting a group?

Can someone please tell me the correct FB group for D2S? I've searched a couple different ones and all I found were a few challenges and Rachel Cosgrove's personal page. THANKS!

Thank you so much for posting this! What serendipity. Tonight I am supposed to do Stage 7 workout 5 (out of 6!) of NROLFW. I can't believe I'm almost done with the program!!! Seriously, never stuck with anything this long in my life. I'm happy with my results and have considered doing another round or two of Stage 7…

I've been meaning to comment on this - AMAZING! I know you've worked hard and you've stayed consistent. There is an incredible difference and your arms are legitimately buff now! :)

As someone who went through all the Stages and tried two workouts from 6 (didn't love it), I just did my first Stage 7 workout last night. As jo_marnes said, it is EPIC, and I wouldn't have been able to do it without building all of the strength in the other Stages. I saw great results in inches and clothes throughout the…

Thanks Suelegal - I guess that's exactly what I needed to hear! I'm moving on to Stage 7 tonight and really motivated. Looking forward to it!

Anybody out there? I'm having a hard time getting excited and/or staying motivated with this stage. I did workout A last week and then was feeling sick, then out of town for a few days. Went to do workout B on Tuesday and during the push press I swung my left arm in a really weird way and hurt it. It feels better now and…

Thanks all. LOL, no I am not getting married in a bikini. I'm still sore from the chin ups I did on Tuesday so I believe the effort will be worth it. I'm glad if there is any inspiration for those working through the program. I know that I scoured the internet for success pictures with this program before I started, and…

Chuckles, maybe I'll just have to look at the book and carefully read the descriptions again. I tried to search for some videos on youtube but none of the combined moves were actually considered one move (deadlift and row) - it was all supersets. Either way I work up a sweat in both workouts, and tonight we are doing B and…

I haven't struggled too much with cellulite but I've seen a definite improvement in my leg tone regardless of the lighting since I started lifting weights. I think its the reduction of body fat rather than just body weight that has helped. I posted some pictures here.…

There is a recipe calculator on this site too! Under the Food heading along the top, you can click recipes and on the right side there is a button to add them. Then when you are in your food diary, it lets you select from Meals (combos of foods you often eat together - for instance, my morning coffee involves a couple…

I don't know how this wasn't more obvious to me in Stage 3, but now on Stage 5 I have to wonder - does anyone feel that the deadlift rows are all that different from rows? Seem s like I'm doing the same starting exercise for both workouts.

I have a protein powder that is so incredibly tasty I can hardly believe it isn't Nesquik or melted ice cream! It's Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard brand. My two favorite flavors are Extreme Milk Chocolate and Delicious Strawberry. I started drinking it with lactose-free milk and that helped any tummy troubles I was…

Its funny - I didn't even know I had cellulite until those pics were taken. How does one get rid of it? When I compute my body fat, it says it has gone down only about 1%. I feel like that's crazy! But who knows...I haven't had it measured professionally so I don't expect 100% accuracy from something free on the internet.…

I like to call those overhead squats "the panty dropper". They are awkward as hell but they do get easier! I'm kind of looking forward to doing them again now that I'm done with Stage 4.
