You took a disappointing situation and turned it into a positive! You rock girl!!

Patty Cakes is right, increase you activity in little ways at first. Strauspher is also right, log everything. I bet you are right and you are not losing much because your body has adjusted to the lower calories. Also, if most of your calories are something other than protein, you won't lose well. So make sure you get in…

Wow the person above me here has some awesome meals! I'm not quite so inventive. At your stage I was using canned chicken and ground meat as it digests easier. Everything needs to be moist so I also used a lot of sodium free broth. Shell free tacos, chili with beans and ground turkey, noodless lasagna (use ricotta cheese…

We all lose at different rates. Mangopickle mentioned some of them. Another truth is some of us just lose slower than others. I have always lost slower than some on here. But as long as you are still losing, that's really what counts the most, you know?

That's great!!

Interesting! I haven't tried this but it makes sense. This thread did cause me to do something a little different last night. I weighed out my meat and took about 1/2 can of my vegtable (beets). About 3/4 of the way through my meal, I stopped eating for a few minutes. Then I assesed how I was feeling. I decided I was…

Great jobT!! I too have the issue of still wanting to "clean my plate". I really thought I was over that and OK with tossing the little bit left after I get my full cue. I too am still a work in progress because some days I can hit my cue and toss the leittle bit left and sometimes I find myself eating it and thinking…

I don't have the dating thing, being married an all, but I do have the occasional business or personal occasion where the wait staff or the host/hostess will question if there's a problem with the food. Depending on the situation I might explain in general that I had WLS and the food's fine but I now have a really small…

I don't think this is an issue for me because I have the same addictions I had pre surgery save one. Ice Cream. I have not had ice cream in 4 years now (surgery was 3.5 years ago) and do not plan on reintroducing it into my life again. I couldn't control it prior to surgery, don't want to find out it's still a trigger and…

I get that too. The need to eat even though I've just finished a meal and I am not hungry. That's head hunger. You are not physically hungry, but your brain says "eat". Yup, head hunger. I'm dealing with this right now, have been all morning. I had breakfast and a snack and I still want to eat. I know I am not hungry, I do…

Congratulations! You have had awesome success. I started at 386 over 3 years ago and have lost 164 so far. Not willing to be done yet. I too had a cane and a lot of health issues that are gone but one. I still have acid reflux, but that's it. Yes this surgery is a blessing as is the much better life it allows us! Pat

My doctor told me a sleeved tummy isn't happy totally empty for the first few years, so eat every 4-6 hours. Frankly the only way I could get in all my protein was to eat 6-8 times a day anyway. And if you are going about 4 hours before you are registering hunger, it doesn't sound to me like you are hungry right after a…

Great NSV! congratulations!!

Congrats on the NSV! Sounds like a cool shirt!

Really haven't noticed it with positions, just types of foods.

Fantastic. Still working on getting there myself. Congratulations!!

Ground beef is easier to digest for me than steak for instance, but I wasn't able to eat an entire burger with or without cheese at you point. As jrngyun pointed out, everyone is different, so what I will say is it could have been too much, or too greasy or even that you ate too fast. My advice? Figure out what your full…

Welcome. Had the gastric sleeve at age 55. I finally realized that my excess weight was interfeering with my life and it had to go. Best decision I ever made! Congratulations on your decision and best of luck with everything.

Other side of the state from Rob, West Michigan, about 1/2 hour from beautiful Lake Michigan! Cold but sunny today.

Awesome progress!

A big difference! Very visable!

You look fantastic! Great work!

Congratulations!

There's no difference between having my knee repaired 37 years ago so I could continue to walk and having WLS so I could continue to live. And believe me, at 386 pounds, death was simply a matter of time. There is nothing shameful about being smart enough to realize you need help and getting it. And like Rob said, we might…

I'm not sure I ever will totally stop feeling like I'm fat. I had lost 164, I really stopped feeling fat, was shoping in "regular stores" felt like I looked amazing, then had a small regain. Since then, I've gone back to feeling fat. I've gotten some of the regain off, but not all and can't seem to get all the way down to…

I've traveled several times since my WLS and the very first time was a plane to Alaska to visit my son and family. There was no way I was going to take anything more than a few snacks for the plane. They made sure they had on hand what I could eat, and I didn't bother weighing myself. Since then it's been several road…

And my nut told me 800 a day was too low and had stalled me, put me in starvation mode. Go figure.

And you want to be friends with them why? ;)
