@ddmom0811 Congrats on the Horse Farm Hundred. It sounds interesting, just based on the name. @BeeerRunner I also have a cat who tries to only drink from the faucet. He just plays with the water in his bowl, unless it's fresh. He's also fond of taking showers - yes, really! Silly kitties. @MNLittleFinn I use both…

@7lenny7 Yes, I'm running the Anoka Grey Ghost 5k. It's one of my favorites because I love Halloween. I need to figure out a costume yet, though! @juliet3455 That hill/pub run sounds awesome! @OSUbuckeye906 Welcome and congrats on the Chicago Marathon! @_nikkiwolf_ Congrats on your PR! @MNLittleFinn I hope you hear back…

@MNLittleFinn The TC 10 Mile was a nice race. It's well-organized, beautiful course, perfect weather. I never once felt miserable and it felt like the time passed quickly. I'd definitely recommend it. As for the marathon, I'm registered for Grandma's Marathon. It'll be my first one, so it's scary, but I have some awesome…

Hello from North Branch, MN!
-
I'll be starting marathon training the week of Thanksgiving, following the Galloway plan. So, that means my winter running will be even more structured that the rest of this year was. I'm also planning one day of a bootcamp class and one day of yoga per week.

I just stumbled upon this post, but am going to jump right in so that I don't miss the next challenge. Earlier this month, I set a goal of 25 miles for October since I'm coming off of a longer race (TC 10 Mile). So far, I'm at a whopping 12 miles - yeah, so I ran that race... Anyway, I'll be ramping up again in November…

I want a snow day just so I can gear up and go play in it!!

I love this one SO much because my 10 year old stepson is my running buddy

This article was in the Parade Magazine last weekend. Olga started running the "Masters" track division at 77 years old and is still going strong and breaking records at 94! Gotta love it! http://www.parade.com/245849/brucegrierson/6-lessons-on-living-longer-and-staying-sharp-from-a-nonagenarian-track-star/

Ran 1 mile on the treadmill to keep the #RWRunStreak alive!

LOVE this!! I always feel totally badass clearing snow from my large driveway before the hubby gets home!

Thanks to the person who asked the question AND the person who answered it. I had no clue, either! Look at that teamwork!

Hope to add mine soon. Still loving this thread!

Thanks for the chart! I have one cat who is a 3 on the chart and the other is a 4 on the chart (but he's on prescribe food from the vet to control this). For the OP, just keep in mind that with larger cats, them NOT eating enough (ie you cut their portions to control weight) can actually cause MORE problems than them being…

So awesome!

I saw this story earlier this week and love that the parents are nicely asking so their kid can participate without putting a financial burden on anyone. If this family lived in my neighborhood, I'd be happy to follow their wishes!

Did anyone else see the picture of her letter? Maybe she should work on her writing skills first. "You child is, in my opinion,..." and "Happy Holiday's Neighbors" Yep, she can't even properly insult or greet people! I think they should have given out her address so that people could send some letters to her or choose to…

Another one to look into would be Sworkit. They have various exercises to choose from (strength, cardio, yoga, etc) and offer both a free and a paid version. Plus, they are an MFP partner, so you can set it to sync with your MFP account. It doesn't have videos of the moves, but does show pictures. Good luck!

They're billing it as the inaugural for this particular event. I know the Color Run and others similar happened this year. Wonder why they're saying it as such? Is it a new location?

bump! You are all amazing and this thread shows exactly what keeps me on MFP; the support, the motivation and the encouragement! Thanks for being awesome, everyone. Btw, best thread EVER, OP!

I'm only starting my 3rd week of "cleaner" eating - I'm a work in progress - but, I'm noticing a difference in my energy level. I can't wait to see how I feel once I'm two or three months in and have gone even "cleaner." For me, the eMeals Clean Eating plan is helping me with meal planning because the plans also comes with…

I don't usually comment on before and after stories, but wow. Your story about had me in tears; your writing made me feel the despair. Congratulations in completely changing your life. You are truly an inspiration and I know by sharing your story you will change more lives that you will ever know. Best wishes for continued…

Bump Just what I've been looking for lately! Thanks for posting this thread, OP! :flowerforyou:

Best. Thread. Ever!

Yep. My high school boyfriend loved lifting and tried to talk me into doing with him. I always said no because I was intimidated. NOW I wished I had taken the opportunity to learn from him...then maybe I wouldn't be fighting the bulge if I'd started when I was thin.

Finally, an article that makes sense! I've never been a breakfast eater and it hasn't affected me weight one way or the other; WHAT I eat for my other meals and the level of activity has.

I read an article about some people being more sensitive to aspartame and it causing muscle twitching. My husband has always twitched a LOT right before falling asleep...until he switched from soda to SodaStream exclusively. The twitches went away completely. In the midst of moving and a hectic schedule, he's been drinking…
