Too much iron is very unhealthy for men and for women after menopause. I don't think calcium does much to build muscles either.

Notice weight watchers says there is no biological evidence to support lower calories produces starvation mode..in fact starvation mode only begins after 3 days of no calories. Even then true starvation (see Wikipedia or medical texts) only exists when all fat stores are depleted.

A Traditional Diet is based on locally grown food. In the Northwest where I live, the native American traditional diet would be based on salmon and venison. I use body fortress chocolate whey. I hated the taste when I first tried it. But now I only using it occasionally when I've been fasting and have a lot of activities planned for the day, but I don't want to eat yet. I notice I enjoy it much more when I'm really hungry.

I fast for one or two meals a day and then eat pretty much what I want when not fasting. I know fasting is easier when I eat no calories -especially carbs. I do take a couple of swigs of homemade sour krout juice which is filled with probiotics. That really helps with hunger.
