  • That's what I've started drinking... Unsweetended vanilla Almond milk. IMO, it tastes terrible by itself but it's better than regular milk in protein shakes. For breakfast, instead of drinking 8 oz of skim milk, now I drink 8 oz of Almond milk with a scoop of chocolate protein powder for flavor (and 25g of protein)
  • I don't avoid carbs but I try to control them. 40% carbs, 40% protein, and 20% fat seems to work for me. I worry about sugar because I've always carried weight around my gut until I cut sugar down dramatically. Now I can finally see abs!
  • Some fruits are loaded with sugar so you can't just eat all you want. Berries are better for you but should still be taken in moderation. When in doubt, look it up online. For Example... I LOVE Mangos; but one Mango has over 30g of sugar. I could eat 2 servings of peanut butter cup ice cream and take in that same amount of…
  • Vodka has no carbs.. It has calories, but no sugar and carbs. Vodka and Diet Tonic is my drink of choice.
  • Watch out for the baked ones... Typically those chips that are "low fat" or "low calorie" are also packed with Sugar to make them taste good. Go with some organic chips like the Blue corn chips from Garden of Eatin or the Food Should Taste Good chips with a hint of Lime. They are delicious.
  • Ideally the majority of your calories should come early in the day. Eat like a King at breakfast, a Prince at lunch, and a peasant at dinner with a couple of snacks in between.
