There is always at least one at the gym...There is this lady in my Cardio Blast class who always has to compete with everyone;. If we all have to run to the other side of the room, she treats it like it's a marathon and beats everyone to the finish. It's getting so old, I think she could hear my eyes roll, LOL!!!!!! No…

Is it a program at your gym or a dvd? I have seen P90x dvd's but they are too spendy. Would like to add to my workout routine.

Hi! Rotini has a "Smart Taste" or great taste pasta; has less carbs and more fiber. Tastes pretty good. Lately, though, I have been eating Quinoa. I get the flavored quinoa packets in the healthy section at my market. You get a lot in that little packet. I make roasted veggies and have it on the side. It's pretty filling.

I am embarassed to say that I fell for the Shake Weight nonsense. I donated it to charity, LOL. Everytime I had company, they would chuckle when they would see it among my weights and workout dvd's. What has been working slooowly, but surely is cleaning up the diet and total body workouts, as you cannot spot reduce. You…

I have large ones on my legs. I put the A&D ointment and did not cover them up. I avoided doing leg exercises while the ink was still fresh. During peeling time; I just put Lubriderm lotion instead of the ointment, that way it didn't feel 'tight'. Let it peel; it's doing what it is suppsed to do.

Yes!!! Then I got discouraged and stored it away. This was last year. The other day, I went through all my clothes to see what should be donated and found that smaller article of clothing....Tags were still attached. I put them on and they were too big:) It was bittersweet because I loved the shorts, but hey! I was…

Yes! I was also doing P90x 6 days a week and would burn up to a mere 100 calories. I did lose some inches, but nothing to write home about. I became discouraged; stuck with it for 7 months as the trainer is a really cool chick. Afrer awhile, I got too used to it and did add running to the mix. This helped. But I became…

PS: major kudos to your weight loss:)

I also run, which is a nice extra. I wish I could look like Kelly Ripa with all this hard work I do on a daily basis. I was once labeled as Obese, by my doctors, now they officially label me as Fit. That made a wonderful difference. The bloodwork is perfect for the first time in my life. I just have to get the rest of the…

Just going by what the HRM stated at the end of each class. It was something I had never done before--was used to doing another type of workout for a long time. Started spinning and it was amazing; didn't think my body could do that. At the end of class, my HRM gave me the calculation. Now it doesn't go near 1000 after…

I have Spin tomorrow and will up the resistance some more. This particular instructor is great, so I know I will be getting a decent workout. It's just that I was relying on those big numbers:) If it's true that the fitter one becomes, the less calories burned, maybe I can talk myself into feeling better;)

I am actually looking into switching up a Spin class with Zumba. I have taken Zumba before---had a GREAT instructor, but it's been awhile. I need that kind of instructor this time around who will kick my butt. Have been feeling discouraged lately and need a challenge.

I have been mulling this one over, as well. I do an hour of weight training a few times a week and, according to my HRM, burn between 54 and 100 calories. I work very hard, too. I supplement with cardio--jogging, elliptical, etc., because seeing low numbers on the HRM makes me feel like I didn't do much.

Oh; it's all over the media and small children are like little tape recorders. Mine tells me I need Life Alert because I lose my balance and have fallen a few times, LOL. It's best to walk the talk; keep healthy choices in the house. Work with your doctor, too, to make sure your blood is okay/cholesteral, etc. One of my…

Has any of her peers pointed anything out to her? Don't sweat it too much. At that age, she is becoming aware of changes taking place with her body. Just make sure she knows she is beautiful inside and out. You are doing the right thing by teaching good eating habits. Keep making sure her self esteem is in check; 10 is an…

If I am hungry enough, 800 cats works for me--but spread it out through the day and do not consume any litter.
