  • My husband is my same height. When I wear heels, I tower over him. The good news is, I hate heels anyways. This is a good excuse to not wear them! Not all women care about height.
  • That is the most horrifying article I've ever read.
  • A fruit A sandwich A veggie and dip combo And a snack of my choice under 150 calories
  • That's amazing! Great work. :) Keep it going!
  • You look amazing! You got this!
  • Cutting out soda has been the biggest game changer for me. I mean, I was drinking no water at all and probably 3 to 4 cans of soda a day! It's made a big difference in my waist line, but also my teeth are noticeably whiter!
  • +1 It's very important to track your consumption. It isn't forever, but at least until you get used to what true portion sizes are. I wouldn't have been able to lose any weight without tracking my consumption. Also, I wouldn't recommend skip days. I do cheat meals, but not cheat days.
  • This was extremely rude and uncalled for. Her question was not for you to weigh in on your opinion of whether these men were stalking her. It was to ask about safety during running. As for my answer, I'm a runner as well, still in the early stages. I always run through neighborhoods or parks, keeping to public places. If I…
  • Coffee is fine and I've read a few studies about the benefits of caffeine on your metabolism. Just be careful with the sugar and creamer, those are my weaknesses.
  • Coffee, Nutella, and Sushi. Yum!
  • I went from a size 10 to a size 8 after 10 lbs. I had always heard that you drop a size after 10 or so pounds. But I guess that depends. I was squeezing into the 8 at first.
  • I finally got back into that size 8! The only problem now is that I don't have enough money to buy a new wardrobe, so it'll be loose pants April for the rest of the month. LOL
  • I'm slowly cutting out TV (trying not to alarm the husband. LOL). I'm also going to try brushing my teeth after dinner tonight. Thanks for the advice. :)
  • Running, some P90X intermittently (but definitely not daily or even weekly), and I bought a little exercise bike for under my desk at work so that I don't just sit. I usually do half an hour of the bike a day at work, 5 days a week, and try to run at least 3 times a week, although it doesn't always work out that way. If I…
  • Not quite. What I meant is that when someone tries to sabotage your efforts at anything in life, it's better to suck the poison out of your life. I'm not going to hide the fact that I'm trying to live a healthier lifestyle, because I would like to inspire my family to join me on this path. I think what someone wrote…
  • I didn't take a before picture, but the first picture is at 30 days in, after about 10lbs lost, weighing 155. The second is yesterday at 60 days at 15lbs lost. Edit: I can't figure this out. It's too big. I need an adultier adult. Double Edit: Got it!
  • I do, but my cubicle is away from everyone annoying, so it's fine. I have my inspirational post-its on the wall, and thankfully, I can eat. No windows though. So I'm counting the moments until I leave.
  • My mom does this, I suspect. Every time I start losing weight, she sends me a "care package". I got one just this week, full of Ghiradelli chocolates. The last one was cookies, and homemade fried chips. I don't think people do this on purpose, but maybe it's subconscious that they don't want to be the unattractive one of…
  • My biggest fear is that my goal weight is too low. I won't achieve it or I will and I'll look gaunt.
  • I can tell by your photos that your confidence has skyrocketed too! In your before pictures, you aren't even looking. You should be so proud. You have done an amazing job. Keep going!
  • You have done great so far and should be proud of yourself. I'm sure your kids are proud of you too. I was never one for pills. If I got myself into this mess without drugs, I can get myself out without them too. It take discipline and focus, both of which you obviously have. Don't stop. I'm glad you've removed the larger…
  • LOL! I do exercise. I'm trying a new schedule this week to push me over the edge here. After work, I get home, change and work out immediately (no excuses!). Then I cook dinner (lean meat and veggies, or leftovers). I eat, then work on my school stuff for an hour before finally relaxing with my husband in front of the TV.…
  • I'm trying to get from size 10 to size 8. Slowly, my size 10s are starting to feel loose. I have one pair of size 8 shorts from when I lost weight before (and then gained it back), that I can SQUEEZE into, but not fit into completely (without muffin top). But soon! You'll definitely get into those size 16s before May. You…
  • My sister fell into one of those fads years ago, and lost a bunch of weight. She gained all of it back. Those kinds of pills don't work because you'll lose the weight only to gain it all back. Do it the right way, learn something, and keep it off!
  • Intermittent fasting has actually been proven to produce great results. That being said, I would not be able to put myself on that kind of diet and last longer than one day. Kudos to you. Stick with it if you feel it is making a difference.
  • I'm 31 days in, and I've learned that I actually enjoy some healthy foods (fruits, veggies). I've also learned how to cook better. This has been a real challenge for me since I generally don't cook. But I wanted to learn how to do this right. I've also learned that store-brand green beans, although cheaper, taste nasty. Oh…
