Great results! Your arms look amazing! Gives me motivation to get my arms and shoulders in shape! Thanks for sharing your success.

I say slow and steady wins the race, but just be healthy if that is your plan. Hope all goes well!

I found this challenge online. There is a lot of different options, and a lot of 30 day challenges. Happy googling!

Got pics to post! Yea!

Looks like we have similar goals. Feel free to send me a friend request if you need more friends. I'm looking for motivation and will motivate in return. -Miranda

Totally agree with you. Advertisements shape our thinking (unfortunately) so it's good to see the truth that lifting is a good thing!

I love when that happens! I wish that sizes would be accurate though. We look at sizes on items and go by that. Today I'm wearing a small sweater and a large top, go figure. 4 sizes is amazing, you must have had to use a rope to keep those other ones on! :)

I'm 5'5" and am going for 140, but am weight training so we will see where I end up.

Would love to do this, but I live in Washington and we have to do much of our running indoors. I do like the low impact of the elliptical, and feel I can go longer without getting super tired.

If you are going to log it, I would recommend only logging in a third of the time. I do that for most of the things on MFP as they seem to count an extremely high amount of calories burned.

You look like a totally different person. Congrats on your success!

Also just be aware that when you first lose, it's mostly water weight, so it will tapper off in the next few weeks. Don't get discouraged, slow and steady weight loss is the way to keep it off.

I would recommend more veggies and a few servings of fruit. Also some good protein like chicken breast or salmon. This will up your calories in a good way, make you feel full and give you energy for exercising.

1. I ran for eight minutes at the gym. 2. I wore a dress on Tuesday that I previously could not fit in. 3. I got my summer work schedule, which allows me to do Zumba on Friday's.

I lived in the same house from the time I was born until I got married (at 28). My left ear is bent on the top from laying on the empilical cord in the womb. My husband says I'm his little Vulcan. I'm very logical too, so it just adds to the fact. I can also pick up things with my toes (although as I'm getting older it…

I agree with cutting out the OJ. I use milk in my smoothies, or you could use almond milk or rice milk, or even water. Regarding having too much fruit, we should be balanced in what we eat. If you have a lot, but have a lot of veggies and protein, then maybe for you that's what your body needs. Or maybe cut back to 2-3…

Check out each website, they should have the nutrition on it and you can see what sounds good to you and what calories you can have. It's great to plan it out, then you won't be surprised afterwords.

Question: Protein bars and shakes. Are things like the Cliff protein bars and energy bars good to eat? Should I eat the protein bar after the workout and the energy bar before? I agree that Cliff bars are expensive and not the best option. I eat a little before I work out, usually a handful of almonds, but I work out right…

I had a knee injury that still plagues me so I can't run much either. I find the elliptical is low impact on my joints since I'm not hitting the floor (like running) or I walk at a incline. Just do what you can and listen to your body. I find that if I push myself through the pain, I sometimes end up not being able to do…

Does it have to be frozen berries or can they be fresh?

Made this last night. It was okay. Not wonderful so for 500+ calories I will not be making it again. But thanks for the recipe, I enjoy trying new things.

I take things like vollyball, hackysack, rock climbing and log in about a third of the time spent as MFP gives me a huge number of calories burned, which I know is unaccurate. I also try to only eat half my exercise back as it seems like MFP says I'm burning a lot. Just figure out what works best for you.

The Jawbone is compatible with iPhone and only some Android smart phones, so you may want to check that out before you decide.
