During the work week I eat the same thing for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. I do change it up for dinners but always have some items that are mainstays to my dinner, such as a nice salad with home made dressing to control the calories and sodium, and vegetable chicken soup. With the soup I do not add a lot of spices when I…

I do this, but maybe not once a week (once a week is fine though). The key for me is to have reasonable portions of the things I am craving, not go crazy. I also make myself eat VERY slowly and drink plenty of water before my cheat meal. This way I satisfy my cravings without falling back to my old binging self. Food is…

That I would make it. I started this journey needing to lose 174 pounds. I have lost 94 pounds so far in 16 months. I cannot see the finish line yet and I'm tired. I keep going one day at a time, one exercise at a time. I have a plan and I am sticking to it, but I am wanting to see and be the "me" that has finished this…

I would advise you to change your paradigm from "I have to lose weight" to "I am making a life style change." You need to get to a place where you embrace the fact that you are changing your life by changing how and what you eat and that exercise is part of your every day life. Exercise is not a grind, it is a fact of life…

Cheese equals sodium equals water retention. I thought I was doing myself a huge favor by eating no fat sliced cheese on my sandwiches and did not pay attention to the sodium content in them. Well, I was consuming @6,000 mg of sodium because of this. I would also say that alcohol (not that you are using any) is another…
