Honey, and don't call me Sugar. That is just my preference, as I love the taste. Eat what you enjoy. A spoonful isn't going to make or break your diet.

I wish my femurs would grow like that, but I can’t get there even eating 3,467 calories a day. You desire a different body type than I, and that enrages me.

^I love you. OP, great advice on here. I like eggs for a drunk snack. They fill you up, give you the salt fix and don't have to be a diet wrecker. Cheers!

MAN, I love that idea for salmon. Noted.

Trying varying your workout daily. If you are doing zumba and walking moderately every day, it seems to me you may be over-working the same muscles. Maybe try zumba one day, a long slow walk the next. Or alternatate zumba/walking with strength training. Good job on getting started though! Just stay active and the soreness…

Since this is something you don't do often at all, I would not worry about the calories too much. I would pre-log in a few drinks first, and if you can, log in everything you drink that night. One night is not going to cause a big weight gain, but it would be helpful to know just how many calories you did take in. Then you…

I would not stress out too much about losing weight during this time. Try to focus on maintaining. Personally, when I don't work out, I'm not as hungry...I hope this happens to you, too. Good luck with your surgery!

I broke my foot and have been in an aircast, non weight bearing, with crutches..for nearly three weeks. I've been focusing on core and upper body with no cardio, aside from crutching everywhere. I finally got around to weighing my air-cast boot this morning to make weigh ins a lot easier. I have not gained any weight!…

I agree! Wine spritzers are the best. I drink a lot less wine but still am able to sip on a drink all night.

Hi There! Sorry about your injury. I'm in a walking boot, too, non weight bearing with crutches. A speedbag if you have or can get one, is a great cardio workout. YouTube has some pretty good workout videos for people with lower body injuries.

Not judging, but I personally hate uggs with a mini-skirt or shorts. It always happens in the spring or fall here. Something about that combo screams "daddy issues".

I LOVE brussel sprouts and cannellini beans. I never thought of combining the two. I want this right now! Come on, universe, make it happen. ** did you drain and rinse the beans or leave them as is?

Most people change to healthier eating habits when they begin to lose weight. I find 1200 calories to be a decent amount of healthy foods, mostly veggies and lean protein. Or it can be a very tiny amount of fast food that will make you feel awful. If I exercise I eat more. Or have wine. But really, I just do what's good…

I heard this by accident yesterday! That song is just a bad, bad idea. Anyway, I love Willie Nelson, Waylon, and all the old greats. I do not like what I'm hearing on hit country stations anymore. I think Garth Brooks ruined country. It was the beginning of the end, in my eyes. Now, it is just like all you have to do for a…

Look into "Wheelchair workouts" on YouTube. They are great for people with lower body injuries. I'm doing them myself lately because I have a broken foot.

There is one gym I know of nearby that has that arm machine. I really am considering signing up for a month (if a short term membership is possible) just for that! Normally, I work out at home and right now do not belong to a gym. And you're right, crutching wears me out!

I don't record my coffee creamer when I use it, which isn't every day. I also occasionally steal a hershey's kiss or three from a coworkers desk that I can't record for legal reasons, I never bother with spices or very low calorie condiments. I also don't record my water because I know i drink buckets of it all day. I am…

Thanks for the responses. Ienkearney, "bump" is when you reply to a post and it makes it pop up again in the "recent topics". Doesn't seem to be anyone else with foot/leg injuries scoping the boards, so for now I will just keep on doing what I've been doing. Thanks, Coyoteldy. I was doing a version of that...I just landed…

It's been five hours. Okay to bump?

Wine. Cheese. Can I have two?

I do 1200 calories and eat all my exercise calories about 3-4 times a week. I think this helps to account for MFP's over-estimating calorie burn for exercise. I have been losing weight slowly but have lost about 5 pounds in 3 months. I mainly eat "real" whole foods, so it's typically plenty of food for me. Does not cover…

I was low on groceries and decided I would fry up some canned salmon and mix it with plain quinoa. I can still taste that lunch.

In the spring look for Rose'. Lots of them out there reasonably priced. I recommend Toad Hollow (owned by the late brother of Robin Williams). Their Rose is fantastic and (I think) around or under $10.00. Rose is light and crisp. Great to try if you don't like red. Also, I just wanted to say that boxed wine has come a…

Being reasonable and balanced will get you nowhere.

Yep! That's me. I'm typically pretty stingy with what I will buy myself, but I splurge on coffee. Coffee. Yea, I'm going to go get some coffee now.

I roll my eyes at people who rolls their eyes at anyone for working out. Some people use the machines, some people prefer cardio, some people lift heavy, so what? Everyone is there to better themselves, good deal. Life is too short to go on about such things. That said, I am taking a break from the gym atmosphere. I found…

Feel free to add me, any vegetarian/vegan/pesc. My diary is open to friends. I eat pescetarian, but not a whole lot of fish. Maybe we can get ideas from one another.

Love it. I drink water and coffee all day, wine all night.
