I definitely want to show my husband this article. Bump!
-
I hope one day I can have droopy drawers too!
-
I love this because it shows that your journey really is a lifestyle change and you weren't just dieting
-
I try to drink a minimum of 8 cups a day, but average about 10.
-
Plus, since I'm burning extra calories, I don't feel too guilty about giving in a bit to some of the cravings

I'll adjust the incline to increase difficulty and calorie burn, but maintain the same speed. I've also seen people slow down the speed a lot and do lunges while they walk forward too.

I feel the same way. It usually takes me about 15-20 minutes of cardio before I'm feeling good. After that, completing 30 minutes or even an hour isn't too bad. The gym near my office has several TVs stationed near the treadmills, stair climbers, and elliptical runners. I try to time my workouts so that I get through my…

My husband is the same way

Ooh, that sounds good. Thanks for the tip, Dejomo958!

Now that you mention it, the same is going on at our house too :)

I'd like to join! I'm 5'2" :) I've only lost 2lbs in October, but I've also only been on MFP for about a week and a half. I'm hoping to lose a pound a week in November and am really looking forward to hitting the low 160s and finally making it out of the obese category.

Try to research potential restaurants ahead of time. There's so much information on MFP and on the internet in general that finding healthy choices shouldn't be too difficult or stressful. Most restaurants in California are required to have their nutritional information available upon request, so you could always ask for…

I have the same problem. I've been told that it could be that my calves aren't stretched enough or my shoes are too tight. I've tried stretching my calves and loosening my laces, but my left food still goes numb.

I'm interested in this as well!
-
Oh my gosh, I do the same thing! I used to have a personal trainer and felt so bad anytime I'd yawn infront of him because I didn't want to look disrespectful.

Congratulations!

What an amazing transformation! I'm excited to show my husband your photos later this evening. Last night he was asking me if there were any male success stories. It looks like I found a fantastic one to show him :)

I'm in! Unfortunately there's no BlackBerry app yet, but hopefully soon.

Definitely true. I didn't want to say goodbye to some of my cute shoes, so I purchased inserts for about$5 a pair to help adjust the fit. There are types that fit under the ball of your foot to lift your foot up, or others that slip in the back of the shoe behind your heel. It just depends where your shoes are loose :)

I absolutely love this analogy. Having $1360 to "spend" on food each day doesn't seem as painful as only getting 1360 calories. Plus, using this method lets me earn more money to spend on food if I work out!

Shelberta, your response literally made me laugh out loud

Congratulations! Awesome photos too. I completely agree that it helps when you find people who are your age and weight. I should update my profile and put NinjaPrincess as one of my inspirations :-p
