You need to drink a ridiculous amount like the above Wii story (which is 100% true). I didn't like the base calorie ratio that MFP set for me so I customized it to 40% carb 40% protein and 20% fat. I life weights at work 5 days a week so I wanted the extra protein.

Very cool!! After I started hitting the gym at work and had some pounds drop, one of my coworkers started going too. He also asked me to "come by and poke him with a sharp stick" to remind him until it becomes a habit. That was two weeks ago. I felt good about that.

Personally I don't drain them when I prepare them. I mince some onion, garlic, cilantro, add some red pepper flakes, and add the beans with juice in and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

When I go out with the guys for beers I'll either have Miller Lite or Coors Light (limit two) and log them in MFP. Pure Protein bars are what I go for after a workout if I'm out of my power. They taste good and have just the right amount of protein. The calories aren't that bad; after a workout I usually have plenty of calories to eat to make up for the burnt ones.
